Zee Zonke, a Zulu dubbed Bollywood entertainment channel operated by Zee Entertainment Enterprises has unveiled a new series, Amanga Nothando. Known in India as Shravani Subramanya, the Kannada series launches on the 16th of March.
Synopsis for Amanga Nothando
Veerendranath Desai, a high-ranking minister, mistakenly blames his daughter, Shravani, for all the misfortunes in his life. Shravani, despite never receiving his affection, constantly craves his love and approval.
To please her father, Shravani initially agrees to marry the man he chooses for her, Madan.
Upon discovering Madan's "sinister intentions" and that her aunt Vijaya is plotting to steal the family property, Shravani feigns a marriage with Subramanya (Subbu) to escape the situation.
Subbu works as a trusted right-hand man for Veerendranath. He is aware of the family dynamics and actively tries to bridge the gap between the father and daughter.
Shravani's aunt, Vijaya, is the primary antagonist. She manipulates Veerendranath into believing she is the "Lakshmi" (blessing) of the house while secretly planning to marry Shravani to her own son to secure their wealth.
Amanga Nothando starred Amogh Aaditya as Subramanya (Subbu), Asiya Firdose as Shravani, Mohan as Veerendranath Sardesai, Balaraj as Ananthapadmanabha (Padmanabha), Chaithra Rao as Moksha and Apoorvashree as Vishalakshi.
As of March 2026, the series has aired over 530 episodes and continues to release new content.
