New Series Alert: Say Hello To Rhythm City's Replacement On e.tv, House Of Zwide


After 14 years, Rhythm City will reach its climax next month thereafter the new local drama titled House Of Zwide enters viewer's screens.

From the music industry which was Rhythm City to the world of fashion which is House Of Zwide.

House of Zwide, a high end fashion house owned by a flashy Joziburg family, described as fashionable and ambitious. Produced by Bomb, who recently exploded off Mzansi Magic with the cancellation of Isibaya.

They also return with Executive Producer Desiree Markgraaff producing alongside Anant Singh's VideoVision Entertainment.

According to Anant, the series is a rags-to-riches aspirational tale, embodied by the tagline: Your Dreams Are Valid, No Matter Your Age.

Desiree elaborates: "Covid-19 has been hard on everyone and we wanted to tell a story that reminds us that no matter the obstacles, (we must) never give up on our dreams.”

The channel been discreet about the cast line-up but Baby Cele's been attached to the project after leaving Uzalo and attaching herself to former Isidingo star Lindani Nkosi in an instagram post:
 
They look fashionable so it's believable that they could be at the helm of a fashion empire. The Eric and Stephanie Forrester of Zwide.

Of course there are other shows set in the world of fashion: Bold and the Beautiful which can be found on Vodacom Video Play, Ugly Betty which recieved adaptations on SABC 1 and Telemundo and the most recently ended Ice Adonis on eExtra.
