Rumours: TLC Will Now Be Handled By WarnerMedia When It Merges With Discovery Inc. To Form Warner Bros. Discovery

Here is what appears to be the rumored full leadership structure of Warner Bros. Discovery:

Warner Bros. Discovery's structure (take with a grain of salt) will focus on a coherent, streamlined structure in order to accelerate the company's direct-to-consumer strategy, with the intent of unleashing the potential of Discovery WarnerMedia's combined holdings.

Under WBD, distribution, commercialisation and licensing operations from Discovery (Discovery Global Enterprises) and WarnerMedia (WB Domestic & International Releasing, WB TV Distribution, WB Home Entertainment, WB Consumer Products, WB Themed Entertainment) will all be centralised under a new organisation known as Warner Bros. Discovery Global Entertainment; the new group will be responsible for the global distribution of programming from WBD's networks, streaming services, and production studios, commercial activities including licensed products and experiences, and the worldwide theatrical exhibition of films produced by WBD's film production labels (Warner Bros. New Line, etc.). The Global Entertainment unit will be led by Tony Gloncaves; he will report directly to WBD CEO David Zaslav.

In terms of the company's leadership, only a handful of WarnerMedia execs will remain post-merger.

Warner Bros. Discovery Streaming will encompass the company's direct-to-consumer platforms, including Discovery+ and HBO Max, and will be responsible for the combination of the two services, and the combined service's global rollout. The streaming unit will be overseen by Andy Forsell.

Warner Bros. Discovery Motion Pictures will comprise the company's film production labels, including Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, Warner Animation Group, DC Studios, among others. The division will be led by Emma Watts, replacing WB Pictures chairman Toby Emmerich; she will report directly to Zaslav. (note: films will now be released under a different label depending on the film, instead of for example, New Line's films being released through Warner Bros. - similar to Disney and Sony releasing films under different labels)

Warner Bros. Discovery Television will comprise the company's entertainment (Discovery, HBO, Turner Networks) and sports (Turner Sports) channels, overseen by Casey Bloys, who will report to Saslav. Among the businesses within WBD Television are:

Discovery Networks will focus on WBD's portfolio of factual and lifestyle television networks, including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Food Network, HGTV, and others. The president of this division will report to Bloys.

HBO Media Group will focus on WBD's vast selection of general entertainment channels, comprising of HBO, Turner Networks (TBS, TNT, TruTV), TLC, and Turner Classic Movies. Content produced on these networks will produced under a singular HBO Media Studios banner. The president of this division will report to Bloys.

Turner Sports will continue to be led by Lenny Daniels, reporting to Bloys; the regional AT&T Sports Networks (now renamed Turner Sports Regional) have now been added to his purfew.

The division will also be responsible for Warner Bros. Television Studios, which will continue to be led by Channing Dugney, as well as The CW network and the Motor Trend Group, WBD's joint venture with Source Interlink.

Warner Bros. Discovery Family & Brands will comprise of content based around WBD-branded content, including the Cartoon Network Group (Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang, Cartoonito), DC, Warner Bros. Games, Otter Media (including Rooster Teeth), and Discovery Golf. The division will continue to be overseen by Tom Ascheim; within WBD F&B, Michael Ouweleen (president of Cartoon Network Group), Jim Lee (CCO of DC), and David Haddad (president of Warner Bros. Games) will all report to Ascheim.

CNN Global will manage CNN and other worldwide news broadcasting assets within WBD, and will be overseen by Chris Licht, who will report directly to Saslav.

Warner Bros. Discovery International will be led by J.B. Perette, serving as an integrated division comprising of the international distribution and operations of Discovery Networks, HBO Media Group, Cartoon Network Group and others, along with local operations such as Eurosport and TVN Group in Poland. This group will be responsible for local execution of all Warner Bros. Discovery linear businesses, and regional programming for the company's streaming services. The division will also be responsible for All3Media - its 50/50 joint venture with Liberty Global, which will integrate the assets of Warner Bros. International TV Production (WBITVP), giving it operations in thirteen more territories.

Additionally, Gunnar Wiedenfels (CFO), Axel Saxena (CTO), Jim Cummings (CHRO), and Jim Meza (EVP, General Counsel) will also report to Zaslav.
