For several months, e.tv South Africa's independent free-to-air channel on top of most watched English network has been loading up on repeats following the addition of local content which led to a cutback in international series on weeknights.
Honestly the lineup is an absolute mess as Craze has suffered the same effect as most of the primetime is currently viewable on eToonz through the Openview platform. Even the movies has been reduced to ashes imagine primetime on eMovies.
At least with eToonz, the primetime is noticable and I'm not saying eMovies sucks but considering how often "new" is advertised across their portfolio it can be irritating to often browse your TV Guide and distinguishing between premiere and repeat if new can be left in the dark.
I know e.tv has reasons for making these adjustments who can blame them as MultiChoice has seen a further cut of premium international channels as their suppliers want to function independently. Although eMedia never had these brands content was very much accessible.
In the end, it's not over and out for e.tv as the channel had inherited various content from the other e.tv channels with most of it from eExtra but point being made there's still something to watch even though it's not what some would find as a delight especially on the Openview platform.
