Rumour: eMedia Investments To Add A Further 4 Channels On The Openview Platform

eMedia Investments unveiled their annual results last month and a lot was unveiled during that time such as the launch of the Openview pay-tv tier to rival with the likes of MultiChoice's DStv and On Digital Media and StarTimes' StarSat and the addition of a new channel in October.

Although not much details have been shared about the channel, it is believed by several consumers that it could be another channel from eMedia Investments. As of this moment, nothing is certain at this point so viewers have to wait until there's official confirmation.

Other channels viewers have been waiting aimlessly on for more than a year comes from the SABC which might have showed their showed their faces ahead of their debut on the platform but what's got viewers more curious is the test cards on the platform.

eMedia Investments seems to have placed 4 test cards implying that consumers may be getting a total of 4 channels and I know we have 2 SABC channels coming to the Openview platform but what are the chances that these test cards have nothing to do with them.

SABC has been testing out potential new channels exclusively on their DTT plans through Sentech of course none of these experiments have been conducted outside that area which just builds more questions as to what the test cards are for.

All we know at this point is that 4 developments are happening on the Openview platform.
