Synopsis for Bamushiyile
It centered on Rama Sarafdar, a happily married woman living with her husband Abhay and their two children, Akshay and Aarya, in Vada. The plot takes a dramatic turn when Rama narrowly escapes being hit by a speeding truck. Upon returning home, she discovers her house and family have inexplicably vanished, plunging her into a surreal and unsettling reality. As the narrative unfolds, it explores themes of trauma, identity, and deception.
It is revealed that Rama is actually Vasudha Nevrekar, who suffered a traumatic childhood and suppressed memories. She had been in a relationship with Abhay (Sunil Barve), who was already married with children. Upon confronting Abhay about his deception, he denies their relationship, causing Vasudha to suffer a mental breakdown.
Bamushiyile was directed by Gautam Koli and produced by Tejendra Neswankar under Trump Card Productions, is based on a novel by Narayan Dharap, blending suspense, horror, and psychological drama with elements of Hindu mythology surrounding eclipses (Grahan).
Since it's inception, Bamushiyile received a remarkable response for its gripping narrative and Pallavi Joshi’s compelling performance. A Bengali remake known as Lalkhuti was also broadcast on Zee Bangla in 2022.
