Things Are About To Get Spooky With Bamushiyile On Zee Zonke

Zee Zonke, a Zulu dubbed Bollywood entertainment channel operated by Zee Entertainment Enterprises home to various dramas and films will be adding a new show titled Bamushiyile. Known in India as Grahan, the Marathi drama airs from 1st June at 21:00.

Synopsis for Bamushiyile 

It centered on Rama Sarafdar, a happily married woman living with her husband Abhay and their two children, Akshay and Aarya, in Vada. The plot takes a dramatic turn when Rama narrowly escapes being hit by a speeding truck. Upon returning home, she discovers her house and family have inexplicably vanished, plunging her into a surreal and unsettling reality. As the narrative unfolds, it explores themes of trauma, identity, and deception. 

It is revealed that Rama is actually Vasudha Nevrekar, who suffered a traumatic childhood and suppressed memories. She had been in a relationship with Abhay (Sunil Barve), who was already married with children. Upon confronting Abhay about his deception, he denies their relationship, causing Vasudha to suffer a mental breakdown. 

Bamushiyile was directed by Gautam Koli and produced by Tejendra Neswankar under Trump Card Productions, is based on a novel by Narayan Dharap, blending suspense, horror, and psychological drama with elements of Hindu mythology surrounding eclipses (Grahan).

It was broadcast on Zee Marathi from March 19, 2018, and concluded after 103 episodes. The drama ensembled Pallavi Joshi, Sunil Barve, Yogesh Deshpande, Varsha Ghatpande, Abhijeet Chavan, Jaywant Wadkar, Padarinath Kamble, Ananda Karekar and Swapnali Patil.

Since it's inception, Bamushiyile received a remarkable response for its gripping narrative and Pallavi Joshi’s compelling performance. A Bengali remake known as Lalkhuti was also broadcast on Zee Bangla in 2022.
