The Midwestern pickers travel across America in search of rare artefacts and natonal treasures that they can buy from the collectors they visit and then sell in their antque shops or, in some cases, put in their personal collectons. In this season, the picking pair fnd a classic 1933 Ford that’s been sitng so long that a tree has grown around it, but nothing will stop them from rescuing this rare ride. Lessons are learnt as it isn’t always easy getng what they want as they face some of the toughest negotators on the road.
SOVIET STORM: WWII IN THE EAST 2
Starts 9th December, Mondays at 18:25 CAT Soviet Storm is a new and epic television history of the Second World War’s Eastern Front, giving an unprecedented Russian perspectve on the war’s most decisive and bloody theatre. This was a confict of staggering scale and savagery. Four out of fve German soldiers killed in World War Two died on the Eastern Front. The Red Army sufered ten tmes as many deaths as the Western Allies combined. The total dead on all sides was more than 30 million, most of them civilians. The war was seen by both sides as a struggle for existence. In that light, Hitler and Stalin were prepared to accept losses on any scale to achieve fnal victory. Soviet Storm tells the story of this ttanic clash of arms blow by blow. Using archive flm and photography, computer-generated imagery and innovatve reconstructons, from the German invasion of 22 June 1941 Operaton Barbarossa (the largest military operaton in history), through to the brutal fghtng outside the gates of Moscow.

Salvage Kings is an excitng new series featuring the demoliton and salvage teams at Priestly Demoliton Inc. in the fast-paced, adrenaline pumping job of tearing down buildings and racing against the clock to pull out anything valuable lef behind. It’s a high-octane mission for Head of Salvage, Ted Finch, his right-hand man, Justn Fortn, and rookie Julien Savage, as they hunt for as many artefacts in ill-fated buildings as they can fnd, all before President Ryan Priestly and his demoliton crew smash down the walls around them. The salvage team is always amazed at the hidden gems they fnd, as well as the stories behind them that would have otherwise been lost to the past. But the salvage team’s job isn’t fnished untl they’ve taken their fnds back to the yard and turned their rubble into riches.

It’s truck versus terrain for season 2, as 50 truck owners from across the United States compete in grueling challenges that test their ingenuity and driving ability in Monster Motor Challenge. Each episode of this self- contained competton series features fve drivers in their personal customized trucks and jeeps going head to head in three challenges, each testng a diferent vehicle atribute: speed, strength and handling. Between each challenge compettors demonstrate their crafsmanship by re-engineering their trucks for the next round. The last two fnalists standing then take on a three-mile, truck killing obstacle course known as “The Green Hell,” which challenges trucks and drivers to fy of jumps, climb a mountain of crushed cars, and tear through a snake- infested swamp. Five trucks will enter to compete, but only one can win and take home the prize money and the ttle of “Monster Motor Champion.”
