Earlier in the month, it was announced through several media outlets that WION would make their way to DStv later this month which might have been pushed to November.
Not only that Zee Cinema which is currently available on StarTimes might make their way to the pay-tv giant as they've seemingly started testing out the channel.
Amidst the losses of several international channels part of it due to the rise in streaming. MultiChoice has been investing in more African production to fill that gap while StarTimes hasn't done much throughout the year or at least not until now.
According to sources, StarTimes is set to add three channels Zee TV, Zee One and Zee Tamil from Zee Enterprises which will likely anger some consumers seeing that they already have an extensive lineup of Bollywood entertainment not to mention these channels don't offer anything similar to the channels lost.
Zee TV which is currently available on DStv serves as a Hindi entertainment channel offering a variety of series and movies while Zee Tamil is like the main channel except in another language with its own programming.
Zee One which is very likely adapted from the German counterpart copied Zee World and dubbed their programming. My guess would be the revived version will cater for English viewers which would serve as a rival to Zee World on DStv seeing that it will likely come as a repeats channel.
Basically, MultiChoice and StarTimes are introducing three different channels (as mentioned) while one platform has all theirs coming from India the other adds Me as an accessory in this Indian extravaganza.
Zee One will also be added to Openview despite having eExtra having content from the channel which leads to the question on what is gonna happen to the content on there.
