We meet 20-year-old Jordan who is trying to overcome his stutter and get his first job; we join 23-year-old Zain as he reflects with his Mum a time when he could barely get any words out; 24-year-old Namrah takes us to University College London where she is part of a study researching the causes of stammering; and 21-year-old Ishaq proves anything is possible as he triumphs over his stammer to take on a paediatric placement as part of his medical studies.

We meet 24year old Jade, who has never been able to share with her family any of her alternative personalities; we join 27 year old Kai and her 26 year old partner Franz, who both have DID - and between them live with over 400 alters- as they show us that nothing in their lives is simple; and we hear from 27 year old Stacey who has a system of 16 different personalities.

Over a million people in the UK live with some type of disfigurement. Growing up in a world where image is everything, looking different can be a huge challenge, but these young people are determined not to let their disfigurement hold them back. We meet 25-year-old Yasmin, who suffers from a rare condition called Parry Romberg syndrome, which is a degenerative disease destroying the tissue on the left side of her face. Yasmin finds the courage to do something she loves more than anything – and sings at an open mic night. We join 24-year-old Raiche, who suffered 70% burns from a house fire when she was just 18 months old, as she has a new wig fitted and her eyebrows tattooed; and we hear from 22-year-old Chloe who has a port wine stain, as she battles her insecurities as she studies at University.
