Nothing is easy in the aftermath of a natural disaster. There’s no power, no public services. No internet or cell phones. Food and fresh water are in short supply. The airports and hotels are closed. People are displaced, often form their loved ones, with no easy way to make contact
When resources are scarce and too many people are in need, little thought is given to the domesticated animals that people were forced to leave behind, or the wildlife. That’s where aerial cinematographer, Doug Thron comes in. He travels into the hardest hit areas—relying on nothing but the supplies he carries on his back—to rescue the animals that are lost or left behind and try to reunite them with their owners. Doug connects with local rescue and wildlife agencies to either help find the proper home for these animals or rehabilitate them for re-entry into the wild.
