John Wick cast as Batman in upcoming DC Movie
Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped a brand new trailer for its upcoming action-comedy animated film DC League of Super-Pets, featuring the voices of Dwayne Johnson as Krypto the Super-Dog and Kevin Hart as Ace the Bathound. It will arrive in theaters on Friday, May 20.
The DC League of Super-Pets trailer highlights the partnership between Ace and Batman, who is officially being voiced by John Wick star Keanu Reeves. This comes after the theatrical premiere of the Robert Pattinson-led The Batman film last Friday, which opened to a gross of over $248 million at the worldwide box office, making it the studio’s biggest pandemic opening.
“In the film, Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side,” reads the synopsis. “When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.”
