As eMedia's rivalry with MultiChoice escalated regarding the carriage of their 4 e.tv channels which are set to go off air soon. The rivalry is about to get even bigger with the launch of kykNET's two primetime dramas: In Die Ysterhand Se Greep And Kind Van Die Noodlot.
From Monday 4 July, the two dramas will be broadcast four days a week. In Die Ysterhand Se Greep will be on the box on Mondays to Thursdays at 17:30 and Kind Van Die Noodlot Mondays to Thursdays at 20:00. The captivating plot, action and romance in the hour-long episodes of these two series will keep viewers glued.
Interesting enough, Droomvelore currently seen on e.tv clashes with In Die Ysterhand Se Greep while Dokter Ali and Fenix get half of the pie with Kind Van Die Noodlot.
The rivalry continues on weekends but each show exchanges roles. In Die Ysterhand Se Greep on kykNET & Kie airs at 10:00 with Dokter Ali coming in 5 minutes early at 9:55 on eExtra with Kind Van Die Noodlot on kykNET & Kie coming in at 14:00 with Droomvelore arriving late by an hour and 20 minutes being 15:20.

The ever-popular soapie Suidooster stays in the same time slot, weekdays at 18:30, followed by the news in Afrikaans at 19:00.
Dr. Darren Green and his experts will continue to inform viewers in Medical on Mondays at 21:30 and give tips on a variety of medical conditions.
After four years, we greet the inspiring presenters of Between Us - Tracey Lange, Zelda le Grange, Kay Karriem, Success Lekabe and Ingrid Jones. The last episode of this beloved talk show will air on June 30 at 8 p.m.
Kô, let's talk, or KLOP !, kykNET & kie's talk show presented by Heindrich Wyngaard, moves from Wednesdays at 20:30 to Sundays at 19:30. This means that the current repeat slot on a Sunday will be the program's new broadcast time.
The popular gospel-and-talk show Choirs with Jonathan Rubain will still be broadcast on Sundays at 18:00, after which viewers can move right to eNews.
Weekdays 'reruns of Binnelanders' tenth season move to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays. Married to rugby's sixth season is still broadcast Mondays through Fridays at 9pm. All episodes of Egoli are available on Showmax and weekly omnibuses still show on Sundays at 07:30 - 10:00 on kykNET & kie.
These schedule changes are part of a major renewal at kykNET & kie (DStv channel 145), which will surprise viewers with more new locally produced programs later this year.
