Staying True premiers 12 April in South Africa & 1 May in the Rest of Africa

Zee World is known for its thought-provoking narratives that question people’s mindsets about various subjects relevant to society. It is back with a story that will make audiences reconsider their approach towards women achieving more than their male counterparts.

Such is the story of Paragi, the female protagonist of Zee World’s, Staying True, who, along with her love interest Sanjay. While both of them are extremely motivated towards their joint goal of becoming IAS officers, the show captures the dynamics between the two families after Paragi passes her exam with flying colours and Sanjay doesn’t!

Zee World SVP of Marketing & Content Desiree Pillay said, “The upcoming series, Staying True, is a dramatic love story that presents an interesting scenario prevalent in many cultures and societies, career accomplishments of men and women in the workplace. In addition, the storyline captures the many reactions the couple faces from both sides of the family and the impact it has on their relationship.”

Producer Saurabh Tewari also produced the popular series Mehek and has yet again created a success story with Staying True.

Radha Mohan premiers on 30 May in South Africa and 8 April in Rest of Africa.

Over the last few years, Zee World has emerged as a channel that brings its viewers stories that mirror their world, touch upon subjects close to their hearts and introduce them to characters whom they fall in love with. A mature romance, the show will introduce viewers to Mohan, played by popular TV star Shabir Ahluwalia who once starred as Abhi in the popular series Twist of Fate. Mohan is back on our screens and effortlessly charms the viewers in Radha Mohan across talented actress Neeharika Roy.

Shabir has somehow lost his smile along the way. A man whose mere presence would light up the room and lift spirits now seems to be weighed down by a burden of pain and regrets. In deep-seated awe of Mohan from her adolescent years, Radha, on the other hand, is a spiritual and optimistic woman, full of love and warmth. Radha Mohan follows Radha’s journey of rekindling the lost spark in Mohan’s eyes.

In an interview with India Times, Shabir Ahluwalia said, “I have never shied away from taking on a different character. In fact, I am always excited and enthusiastic about such a role. My new show, Radha Mohan, is a fascinating story, very unique and full of twists and turns. I personally love the way Mohan’s character has been written. Mohan is a strong, well-defined, yet challenging character with several different shades. He is quite different from what I have played on-screen before, so I am excited to see how the viewers respond to my new avatar.”
