StuGo Has Been Delayed On Disney Channel, Might Launch By Fall 2024/Early 2025

The series follows six middle schoolers who are tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist. Now they're stuck for three months on a wild tropical island with mind-reading manatees, giant fighting fungi and fashion-forward mutants. Less academia than they'd hoped for, but a lot more adventure.

StuGo is an upcoming Disney Channel animated series created by Ryan Gillis. The series ensembles Tania Gunadi as Pliny, Zosia Mamet as Merian, Gabourey Sidibe as Francis, Charlyne Yi as Larry, Zach Reino as Chip Manhands, Deborah Baker Jr. as Sara and Lorraine Toussaint as Dr. Lullah.

Ryan Gillis who worked on several Disney shows such as Pickle And Peanut and The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse will serve as executive producer. This will serve as co-production between Disney Animation Television and Titmouse Inc. who've went on to work shows like Goldie And Bear and Kiff.

According to sources, Disney Channel was originally slated to air a sneak peek on September 7, 2024 but was pulled out at the last minute with the series slated for a fall 2024 debut. With the year coming to a close, it wouldn't be shocking if this was pushed to first half of 2025.

2024 hasn't panned out well for the network as a number of cancellations took place which include Pretty Freakin Scary, Villains Of Valley View, Raven's Home, The Ghost And Molly McGee and Hailey's On It. Primos so far had been the only new addition to have debuted on the network alongside Disney- original Monsters At Work.
