What's New In May 2016 On BET Africa

THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW
Monday 2 May 2016 @ 16:30 CAT
Been missing your daily dose of hot gossip and life advice from the diva of daytime talk? Sassy radio host and author Wendy Williams is back with her Hot Topics (where she covers the shocking celebrity stories of the week), Ask Wendy (an agony aunt session with the studio audience) and “tell-it-like-it-is” opinions on everything. Follow her celebrity interviews with the likes of Seal, Jennifer Lopez and Pamela Anderson. Her adoring studio audience can’t get enough – and neither will you.

THE REAL
Monday 2 May 2016 @ 17:45 CAT
Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne  Bailon, Tamar Braxton and Loni Love are keeping  it real on their daytime talk show The Real. Follow the feisty five as they cover the news  of the day, beauty, fashion and relationships.  They entertain celebrity guests, swap gossip  and share the tough times as each host is  admittedly a “work in progress” and fearlessly  invites the audience into their personal lives.  Prepare to laugh, to “awww” and even to shed the occasional tear.

TOP ACTOR AFRICA
Tuesday 3 May 2016 @ 19:30 CAT
It’s the moment acting fans have been  waiting for – the popular reality competition  enters its last four weeks and the budding  actors need your votes! But the show’s  mentor, co-star and guest judge Brandon  Auret (you know him from District 9 and Chappie) isn’t going to make it easy for the remaining contestants. First, the final  three must overcome Brandon’s crime boss  character and his thugs (pros from Stunt  Team) using kung fu, guns and moments  of real emotional intensity. Then it’s on  to exclusive outtakes and flashbacks to  the season’s best moments, before the  big reveal and glammed-up reunion show, hosted by Trevor Gumbi.

CHASING DESTINY Wednesday 11 May 2016 @ 21:00 CAT
BeyoncĂ©’s bestie, Kelly Rowland, has joined forces with BET and her long-time collaborator, Frank Gatson, to find the next girl group  sensation. “I don’t want reality stars,” says Kelly.  “I want stars.” If anyone knows what it takes  to be part of a world-conquering girl group, it’s this former member of Destiny’s Child (ranked  by Billboard as one of the top three girl groups  of all time). Be part of the journey as the  duo audition, groom and assess prospective  members. Be warned though, Chasing Destiny  is not your average reality competition. “This is not orchestrated. It’s something we’re allowing  to happen organically. And drama’s going to happen naturally too,”promises Kelly.
