Portuguese-speaking DStv customers are in for a treat with the addition of a channel made in Mozambique, to tell authentic Mozambican stories in Africa just in time to commemorate Mozambique’s Independence Day on 25 June 2019.
TVM International will start airing on DStv channel 701 from Wednesday, 19 June 2019 at 10:00am CAT and will be available to DStv customers in Mozambique, Angola and South Africa to experience local programming featuring Mozambican culture, tourism, sports and more.
TVM International is the international channel of Mozambique’s public national television station, Televisão de Moçambique (TVM). With the motto "Comunicando Moçambique" (Communicating Mozambique), the channel’s aim is to promote the cultural diversity and riches, natural resources as well as the tourism and agricultural potential of Mozambique with programming that will be air 24-hours a day on DStv.
TVM International joins the DStv’s growing channel line-up of local channels at a time where MultiChoice has intensified its efforts to invest in local content and grow the local creative industries. The addition of TVM International on DStv speaks directly to MultiChoice’s commitment to growing the local content offering and making great local stories more accessible to the communities in which the business operates and beyond.

TVM International (DStv channel 701) will be available to DStv subscribers in Mozambique and Angola via the DStv Portuguese packages: DStv Bue, Grande Plus, Grande and Facil while DStv customers in South Africa will get access to the channel on the DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact packages as well as the DStv Portuguese stand-alone and Add on packages.
