As Predicted, Boomerang's Days Are Numbered As Latin America Replaces Converts The Channel To Cartoonito, Could This Be The Future Of Boomerang In Africa?

Cartoonito launched in the United States later in September offering a wide range of animation such as Little Ellen, Lucas The Spider, Mush Mush And The Mushables and Thomas And Friends: All Engines Go.

Since the launch, there's been a lot of commotion over the brand's future internationally as Boomerang in some territories include preschool content in their family lineup and it looks like we finally got our answer.

In Latin America, it was announced that Boomerang would be replaced by Cartoonito from the 1st of December which seemed odd as the brand was originally scheduled for launch in 2022 now that changed.

Anyways the Boomerang channel in Latin America had been falling on troubled times those who've lived to tell the tale remember WarnerMedia's constant efforts to lure viewers. What started as an animated TCM grew to become another Disney Channel only for to align it with the rest of the world.

It seems likely that WarnerMedia in most markets will eventually follow Latin America in phasing out the brand. The idea of Cartoonito launching as a block on Boomerang seemed logical at the time now it looks like a waste of time.

As mentioned, Boomerang already incorporate preschool content to their lineup but its not divided like Cartoon Network in the United States. Why give night owls a chance to watch Masha if you're only going to take it away?

Trust me when I say Boomerang will be missed but it's presence will live on through Cartoon Network and Cartoonito.

Some territories WarnerMedia even have their own Nicktoons. In Latin America it's known as ToonCast while Africa and several regions refer to it as Boing perhaps some of Boomerang's content can make its way there.
