Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 will premiere on Bravo Africa (DStv 124) on Sunday, 17 May at 6:10 PM with new episodes every Sunday until 13 September 2026. Franchise favourites Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha Scott return to lead the ship alongside Nathan Gallagher, the season nine Deckhand upped to Bosun, and a familiar face from season eight, Deckhand Max Salvador.

Additional new crew include Chef Josh Bingham, Stews Kizzi Kitchener and Victoria SanJaun, and Deckhands Christmas Trimino and Tessa Budd.

Coming up this season:

The vibrant energy and artful cityscapes of Barcelona provide the perfect backdrop as Captain Sandy reunites with a newly engaged Chief Stew Aesha for a landmark 10th season that toasts to a decade of unforgettable yachting. Back on board and recently promoted to Bosun, Nathan will need to prove himself in this new role and Max is back as a deckhand to showcase his growing maturity. On deck of the sleek new M/Y Bravado, Captain Sandy immediately feels in her element, back in the city she once called home.  

With a top-tier team of stews by her side, Aesha is able to run the interior with efficiency and seven-star Med service. With this new-found excellence, will she finally become the mentor she always wanted to be? Nathan steps on board after a shocking delay and instantly feels the pressure with a team that seems inexperienced and unmotivated, forcing him to make a tough decision. New Chef Josh is Michelin trained and, having lived on a commune, brings a unique blend of carefree clown-like creativity and skill to the galley. NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer Announce That E! And Syfy Will Rebrand To Bravo And Sci-Fi In France

E! will become Bravo, the iconic international NBCUniversal channel dedicated to reality TV and the genre's iconic franchises, while SYFY will become SciFi, with a new name and new visual identity, while remaining the essential destination for science-fiction fans.

The Universal+ entertainment offering – which includes 13ÈME RUE, DreamWorks, and soon Bravo and SciFi – is available in France via SFR, Bouygues Telecom, Prime Video, Molotov, Free, and Orange (but not Canal+).

ICYMI: Universal TV And Bravo Replaced M-Net's Me And 1Magic On Canal+'s DStv English Plus Package

Last year, MultiChoice and M-Net made the decision to yank both Me and 1Magic from DStv with the offering that formed part of a revamped Showmax streaming service in line with NBCUniversal. For a limited time, 1Max served as a trial run to Showmax that was available to premium consumers.

It shuttered on the DStv platform during the year with shows like Tracking Thabo Bester and Adulting folded under Mzansi Magic. Since then various DStv consumers have been under the perception that Canal+ following its buyout of MultiChoice has plans to replace these channels.

And there's several reason why MultiChoice and M-Net decided to do away with both Me and 1Magic. Firstly as mentioned was with the rollout of Showmax, M-Net and MultiChoice are doing what Disney did with FOX and Disney XD - prioritizing on core brands.

Aside from Me and 1Magic, they had closed several brands in the last year mainly secondary networks like Africa Magic Urban, Maisha Magic POA and Akwaaba Magic.

Since Me and 1Magic's departure, Universal TV has continued bolstering it's international portfolio with FBI, The Equalizer and Chicago Med with Married To Medicine and The Real Housewives on Bravo. Aside from DStv, Canal+ Afrique had been distributing these brands in place of Me and 1Magic.

Killing off any possibility of a follow-up I mean M-Net has reshuffled these channels multiple times in the last decade while NBCUniversal was able to sustain their brands. Canal+ had emphasized continuing it's partnership with global media companies.

A Year Ago, M-Net Ripped Away International Formats Of The Real Housewives From DStv, NBCUniversal Scoops Them Up For Bravo

Last year, MultiChoice and M-Net made the decision to yank both Me and 1Magic from DStv with the offering that formed part of a revamped Showmax streaming service in line with NBCUniversal. For a limited time, 1Max served as a trial run to Showmax was available to premium consumers.

It offered original productions like Tracking Thabo Bester and Youngins alongside international series like Knuckles and Basketball Wives. Of course, what was absent from this lineup was the international formats of The Real Housewives.

Before Bravo, 1Magic was South Africa's iteration of the channel with an extended lineup of content very much like how M-Net is compared to HBO. When that was taken away and suddenly repackaged on Bravo (formerly E!), 1Max lost any potential value.

Now Bravo which is not only a replacement to E! but also The Real Housewives on 1Magic will be expanding the franchise with the rollout of The Real Housewives Of London.

She is currently preparing to launch her own fashion label, reflecting her passion for style and design. A former cast member of The Real Housewives of Jersey, Karen is well-acquainted with the glamorous world of The Real Housewives franchise.

• Australian native and former Miss Galaxy Universe, Juliet Mayhew moved to the UK at the age of 12. Now living in one of Chelsea’s most desirable neighbourhoods, Juliet is married to ‘Tiggy’, with whom she has two teenage children. A former actress turned creative producer, she is a committed philanthropist and also specialises in hosting immersive events through her successful event planning company – catering to some of the world’s most elite clients. She shares a close friendship with Caroline Stanbury (The Real Housewives of Dubai).

• Born in Iran, Panthea Parker moved to England at the age of four. She lives in North London with her husband Ed and their three children; she also has an adult son from her first marriage. Known for her high-society lifestyle and formidable social circle, Panthea has embraced a life of glamour having been on the Mayfair scene since the ‘90s where she was a fixture at Annabel’s partying with A-listers.

• Born and raised in London, Nessie Welschinger shares her Chelsea family home – and a 500-year-old estate, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds – with her husband Remy and their three children. A former Global Head of Equity at Schroders, she now runs the renowned Chelsea Cake Company, boasting high-profile clientele including Queen Elizabeth II, having made one of her 90th birthday cakes. Nessie also showcased her skills on Bake Off: The Professionals, further cementing her reputation in the world of patisserie.

The Real Housewives of London is the 30th instalment in the immensely popular franchise. The series is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio UK Productions (UTAS UK productions), a division of the Universal Studio Group.

Multiple E! Branded Channels Are Likely Set To Close Internationally Soon As Bravo Debuts In Africa

During the week, it was reported that NBCUniversal would be shuttering E! Entertainment from Africa's shores after 21 years on the air. With Bravo set to replace the channel on DStv in October, at the time of publishing NBCUniversal hadn't stated why E! Entertainment is being discontinued.

But if we could guess, it likely has to do with E! Entertainment being spun off from NBCUniversal. With the channel folded under Versant, NBCUniversal can't distribute E! Entertainment in Africa besides that it has seen a rapid decline in Europe.

Bravo being a reality tailored brand has a well established presence in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. For sometime, E! Entertainment had been distributing various content from Bravo including the Below Deck franchise; Married to Medicine and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

For the most part, NBCUniversal hadn't stated what is to become of Live From The Red Carpet or E!'s remaining shows. But from what we've seen with various rebrands over the years, these shows will gradually be phased out cause in the end E! Entertainment doesn't have much going on.

If there's one thing E! Entertainment demise in Africa suggests is that NBCUniversal is looking to retire the brand soon. Viewers should expect for more feeds to get phase out in favor of Bravo because with E! Entertainment folding under Versant this would only leave Bravo for reality content under NBCUniversal.

Aside from Africa, NBCUniversal had also been managing the feed for the brand in Balkans, Benelux, France, Greece and Cyprus, Israel, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scandinavia, Serbia and Slovenia. It's likely we'll be seeing more of these feeds close down in favor of Bravo in the not-so-distant future.

Could E! Entertainment Be A Thing Of The Past?

E! Entertainment is a celebrity based entertainment channel owned by NBCUniversal that has mainly been used for glitz and glamour or in other words takes you on a trip to Hollywood through red carpets and interviews with their notable title being The Kardashians.

As seen these past months or in other people's perspective last year, NBCUniversal has been cutting back on original content for their channels and E! Entertainment happened to be one of those last remaining channels internationally.

As it is DreamWorks Channel is more like PBS Kids as content is funded by third parties, there's not much changes coming to Studio Universal but when you turn to Universal TV they were more like CBS Reality pitching for new content now they're the slums like BET.

E! Entertainment has lost out on several originals like Keeping Up With The Kardashians, E! News, The Soup and Daily Pop. At the time, not a lot of people knew how far NBCUniversal would go in this layoffs that was until they were reports of the channel closing in some parts of Europe.

I don't know whether this will happen in other countries as NBCUniversal has been eyeing strategic purposes in the phasing out of the E! brand but from what is known so far would the idea be far fetched.

In Africa, E! Entertainment has been adding content from NBCUniversal's Bravo channel. Overseas this two have been operating on seperate grounds but in this region they're working hand-to-hand.

And I'm not saying that E! Entertainment will turn into Bravo but the idea of what's happening in Africa possibly being the outcome overseas wouldn't be shocking I mean Days Of Our Lives is heading to streaming and NBC closed their sports channel.

Don't be surprised if there was an announcement that E! Entertainment would be closing down with further content being divided amongst their brands, Bravo.

Bravo would make a great successor I mean there's a lot the channel can do that celebrity based E! Entertainment had restricted. The channel hasn't gotten that far in terms of popularity but with the right tooling they can get ahead.

Bravo is currently positioned in a similar form to MTV and with E! Entertainment supplying various shows from the brand. They might as well source content from Oxygen since it's also female driven and from what I can make out with this combo you're basically getting Lifetime.

Lifetime was one of my least favourite channels I usually watch it for the documentaries and crime hours. Should Bravo eventually rear it's face one of my expectations is that it could fill the void left by this channel from A+E Networks.
