MultiChoice continues disregarding the existence of Easyview package which is set to lose 2 channels by the end of March. As seen in the previous week, MultiChoice found the relevant replacement for some packages.
Through an enquiry it was revealed that Easyview customers would be getting the educational channel, PBS Kids (channel 313) in place of entertainment channel eToonz (channel 311) and of course MultiChoice couldn't bother to mention that when announcing the addition of KIX to Access.
PBS Kids was available on the Easyview package when the channel was exclusive to the DStv app but likely due to costs it was put on Access when it launched in 2019.

PBS Kids features a broad mix of live-action and animated children's programs which are designed for improving early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills of young children aged 3-9.
Also joining eToonz out the door by the end of March is eExtra of course details of a potential replacement channel is still awaiting confirmation. According to sources, either Telemundo from NBCUniversal or M-Net's Novela Magic will be slotted on the package.
Novela Magic and Telemundo both offer their fair share of repeats compared to Zee World and Star Life. So the idea of one of these two even both being made available to the platform doesn't seem far fetched.

If you browse each DStv package, only Easyview customers don't have access to the existing bulk of local dramas spread across the M-Net channels if anything that channel will benefit that package. This channel will never make up for the loss of eExtra if anything you could consider it a suitable successor to SABC Encore.
Telemundo on the other hand could make up for eExtra as the content seen on both outlets were produced outside of Africa. The problem only dives down to the location in which these programs were filmed which can be a problem to some viewers as one had Turkish and Korean and this one Mexican.
