The Walt Disney Company plans to close 100 linear channels globally in the near future with markets such as Asia and some parts of Europe seeing their content from brands like National Geographic and Disney Channel fold under Disney+, their streaming service.
According to sources, The Walt Disney Company plans to close Disney Channel in Turkey of course it hasn't been stated whether Disney Junior would tag along as the channel seems intact as most fingers point to the main channel.
What's more shocking is that these are the first free-to-air channels from the brand to close globally as most readers anticipated that the closures for these type of channels would take much longer with them being free-to-air.

In Canada, Disney XD which is partially owned by Corus Entertainment rebranded to WildBrainTV earlier in the month and it wouldn't shock me if Disney Junior was perhaps folded under Family Jr while the main channel merges with Disney+.
By the end of this month, FOX Life is expected to close down in the United States joining its global counterparts in the afterlife. Also joining the list of closures is Disney XD, Star Life, Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Kids in Latin America.
From April, The Walt Disney Company EMEA would be the market with the most international channels as its been speculated that the channels would close by 2023 or 2024 as most parts of Europe and Africa still don't have Disney+.
