Star Life, a general entertainment channel owned by Disney Star offering movies, drama series and reality shows from across India is said to be rolling out a new series in place of one of the channel's oldest series Laxmi in the coming weeks titled Rajjo. Based on the Bengali series Aalta Phoring, Rajjo follows an aspiring athlete from a village and a businessman who meet each other amid a calamity and gradually fall for each other. However, they have to deal with societal boundaries to be together. According to MultiChoice, the channels don't fit their 5 year content plan and leverage of DStv content so we look at channels from the platform that air DStv content. 1. Following the ongoing saga of MultiChoice and eMedia Investments' carriage dispute regarding e.tv's 4 channels would be Nismedia's Glow TV which went dark on both Openview and StarSat by the end of February with no means of survival for the affected party. Since then, eMedia Investments unveiled the Bollywood bouquet Spice TV for their Openview Ultra consumers which featured sister channels to the freemium Zee One and Star Life while StarSat welcomed the addition of 4 channels including CBS Reality and Kartoon Channel . As seen yesterday across Glow TV's social platforms, the channel is looking to take legal action against eMedia Investments which could result in the reinstatement of the orange brand through the Openview platform similar to the affected party channels which are still on DStv.
