How To Share A Corrupted Or Copyrighted File On MediaFire And Likely Other Facilities Like Google Drive?

MediaFire kind of like Google Drive and Dropbox is a storage facility where you can backup your files and as seen through Insidus Games is the hub where we store most of our files as the space is very wide like 10GB of space of which less than 2GB makes Insidus Games.

For those using this app must have noticed that certain files come up with a corrupted or copyright message and I found it odd really as I sourced most of my junk from a few trusted sources but yet again you find nothing wrong in distributing something like Lolo but something as awful as Somari.

If you're reading this I'm assuming you're trying to fix the problem here and l was a victim of such consulted various sites but still no luck so here's how I manage to resolve it:

- Firstly, if you need an app that can compress or zip your files this way it can bypass Google Drive or MediaFire.
- Second select the folder and if you use ES File Explorer there's an option to compress and even comes with levels in case you want to make it high tech.
- Third take that compressed file and upload it to your storage unit and check to see if the file can be shared like some on Insidus Games.
- If a problem persists, I recommend strengthening the file as mentioned in the second option ES does come with levels for their zip folders.

Review: The Concept Of Boomerang And Cartoonito

Boomerang is family skewed brand owned by Warner Bros. Discovery is home to franchises such as Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes and Tom And Jerry and has experienced success with the likes like Mr. Bean, Ninja Express, Lamput and Zig & Sharko.

Outside of that lied a brand which craved attention and needed to better their offering to match that of the main network, Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, it only served as a runner up in its eyes as it fills it's lineup with gags and family infused movies.

Overseas, it is treated as a pushover while as other regions it is able to stand up its two feet. If you dive deeper onto, isn't it more like Comedy Central nowadays as both can keep viewers a certain capacity and lack the Netflix experience.

Netflix dwells on originality and there's plenty of quality and originals to go around while Boomerang just seems to make up the other portion of their hub and there enters Cartoonito.

Cartoonito seeks to reinvent Boomerang's dismal selection. Instead of relying on Movie Stars to build primetime, they want to use Thomas And Friends, Lucas The Spider, Moley and Dino Ranch to keep audiences occupied kind of similar to the main brand's approach in series.

It's led Boomerang to become a crossover between the two with most of its energy on preschool with shows like Mighty Mike, Masha And The Bear, Grizzly And The Lemmings and Legend Of Spark - another approach in reinventing or establishing a brand.

Which brings me to my final calling, Cartoonito seeing as it is taking away or reestablishing what was once a TCM of our generation. How much of the old Boomerang would reside in this new brand? How is anyone sure it won't wide up like Disney Junior?

Before Cartoonito, Disney Junior was a family based channel sure there was preschool but the previous incarnate had 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Emperor's New Groove and the original DuckTales now it's been reduced to Marvel's Spidey and Puppy Dog Pals.

Point being made, Boomerang was the only brand that could actually cater to preschool and family and Cartoonito is expanding further into the preschool portion only God knows how much of that will give anyone the future former brand.

Could Russia Today's Remains Finally Be On The Chopping Block On DStv?

In March, Russia Today unexpectedly went dark on the DStv platform following some pending issues regarding the Ukraine war and since then MultiChoice allocated a message giving viewers a reason for its sudden dismissal.

Of course for those who still want to get in on the action, Russia Today is available on StarSat as the pay-tv competitor did get clearance from the higher ups. On top of packaging the channel, Russia Today has allocated some offices within the region.

Not sure what that has to do with DStv just thought viewers should know.

Anyways, for several months Russia Today has been offline I mean there hasn't been clarity to why the physical component still resides. Some would think the pay-tv platform still has an agreement but from what I understand it could dissolve once a company fails to deliver.

Then I also remember MultiChoice wasn't planning on terminating RT after a petition was released but the feed seen in Africa was cutoff regardless of that soft copy so it's possible that just like several other consumers even they were hoping the feed would be reinstated.

For those who browsed RT, may have seen a message briefing everyone in with regards to the termination now it's gone with the EPG updated to Russia Today and a black screen to those hoping to see that message again or view it for the first time.

I know there's plenty of people who don't browse that section quite often and cases like these would get anyone off their feet. Which just leads me to wonder is it possible that MultiChoice is finally ready to retire the space or could there be more to the story

The year is almost up and there hasn't been much signs to RT being reinstated and it makes all the more sense if they moved on and rely on existing news channels BBC World News, Sky News, Aljazeera and CNN to keen viewers on their feet.

BBC UKTV Vs. ITV Choice: Another Attempt At Boosting The BBC On DStv

ITV Choice was an international entertainment channel operated by ITV PLC was home to shows such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Jonathan Ross Show, Doc Martin, Tipping Point among others.

Two years ago, MultiChoice decided to scrap the channel as it faced an uphill with the Brit channels from BBC Studios and opted to distribute selected content amongst various channels as part of their never ending streamlining attempts which led to a bloodbath of DStv customers.

Sure audiences get to see Tipping Point on BBC Brit and Coronation Street on M-Net. But one out of the two aren't even a full-time option while the other funnels their schedule with the same 2-4 shows on a daily basis.

Now comes BBC UKTV, a channel from the forever dominating BBC Studios which seeks to show the advantage they have over DStv with content from BBC Brit and other Brit channels among them include Casualty, Deadly 60, The Great British Bake Off and Yakka Dee.

Taking to account that if this channel happens to be another Mzansi Wethu or Me channel and is accessible to audiences on the premium package perhaps on channel 123. Viewers would be under the impression that the pay-tv reason for removing ITV had to with BBC.

Several others would have another reason to avoid BBC Brit although UKTV kind of play second fiddle in terms of rebroadcasts. Adding another channel to increase the amount of Top Gears would just put a dent in their money bin.

Could Openview+ Lead To 24 Hour Capability For These Channels?

Openview has been active in the market for almost 10 years and has generated 3 million subscribers on top of that seen success with the likes of e.tv's additional channels eMovies, eReality and eExtra on top of third party channels like SABC Sport.

But as some disgruntled consumers would say the channels are boring, the movies repeat for almost a year and so forth. Not that any of this isn't happening already with MultiChoice's DStv but not everyone is glued to a screen 24/7 which is where you get these channels.

eReality a mashup of Food Network, ID and MTV, eToonz a kids channel balancing between X and Y, ePlesier a channel carved through scraps and lastly eXposed an edgier version of the current eReality but with a twist - drama.

As several consumers are eMedia Investments had given these brands a curfew and I remember what was said about eToonz it's a kids channel but how do you explain how the likes of Cartoon Network even the preschool oriented Disney Junior have 24 hour capability.

From what was established from my perspective, the only reason most brands packaged by eMedia Investments had been put on a curfew is the costs taken to supply the content whether it's #DisComplicated or the usual Leon Schuster in Oh Schuks or Mr. Bones everything comes with a price tag.

Of course with Openview+ especially with the pricing, there's a lot of expectations coming from this DStv competitor one of which include more channels and as seen with MultiChoice ones with 24 hour capability.

Imagine paying close to R200 only to see most of the channels resume at 8am. It gets really irritating as if you're a toddler that could cry all night and be fast sleep during the daytime.

One of my expectations for these upcoming platform would be an adjustment to some of the current channels seen on the freemium version being Openview one of which include 24 hour capability to all eMedia channels particularly eReality.

Cause let's face it compared to the 3 other channels most of the money is going onto eReality and just like e.tv and eExtra there's plenty of local investment going onto the channel so why not make it the first channel to get 24 hour capability.

It was a moment worth capturing and etching on the walls of history, when the DStv Compact Cup won the prestigious Event or Competition Sponsorship of the Year award, at the Hollard Sports Industry Awards 2022; a platform recognised as South Africa’s most notable awards ceremony - honouring pioneers and innovators in the sports industry.

Could VIU Be The Next Streaming Service To Shut Down In South Africa?

Three years ago, South African viewers were introduced to VIU a brand new streaming service and also PCCW's second attempt at in the streaming game following the termination of OnTapTV.

For those who weren't present at the time, the brand failed to give the media specific details on the content viewed on the platform but ramped up partnerships with eMedia Investments and the SABC for some of its content part of which led to its relevancy.

Last year, the brand got into a brawl with eMedia Investments regarding the agreement for various local productions seen on e.tv such as Scandal and Imbewu as eMedia failed to hold their end of the bargain.

According to VIU at the time, consumers were alarmed to see that the content wasn't available on the platform as the e.tv productions had a following for which impacted their subscriber base with the brand set to lose the content to eVOD by 2024.

During the month, SABC viewers were alarmed to see that the public broadcaster recently launched SABC+ is missing several ties as their packaged exclusively by VIU with consumers having to wait until a certain timeframe to get access to the remaining content.

VIU was a bridge between both these parties and as seen now both of them now offer their own OTT platforms which puts the streamer in the very precarious position as most of the consumer base are big fans of the local providers.

Sure, VIU has a lot to offer outside these two with various content from BBC Studios alongside Crime + Investigation from A+E Networks. But is that enough to guarantee success for the platform I honestly doubt it.

South Africa had a various streamers such as A+E Networks' Acorn TV, Cell C's Black, Vodacom's Red and Telkom's TelkomOne streaming service all of which had a similar trait to VIU which includes bundling a lot of third party content and less to no original content - all of which have been dusted.

Now questions amount to how the future of the streamer as they keep sourcing out more and more content kind of like how abovementioned did before closing down.

Acorn TV Closing Down By The End Of The Year In South Africa, Still No Clue If AMC+ Will Launch In The Market

A few months ago, AMC International unveiled plans to rollout AMC+ in Central Eastern Europe by the coming year with the brand joining the likes of NBCUniversal's Peacock and Warner Bros Discovery's soon to be merged HBO Max and Discovery+ that have yet to launch in the market.

AMC International already supply various channels in the market including CBS Reality and CBS Justice in partnership with Paramount Global which are said to be up for renewal by early 2023 on MultiChoice's DStv alongside JimJam.

Now their AMC+ streaming service kind of like Peacock's effect on the NBCUniversal's channels, there's not much clashing going between them as both are one of the few companies to balance their portfolio as the streamer comes with content from AMC, Sundance Now, IFC and Shudder.

Just recently, Acorn TV announced on all their platforms that they would be inactive by the end of the year which leads me to wonder as to why this may be taking effect. I mean my guess has to do with BritBox offering most of their content.

On the other, could AMC+ have some involvement I mean the little original offering would make a perfect fit for the brand's existing offering.

As of right now, Acorn TV is scheduled to close by the end of the year which joins another streaming service TelkomOne which was acquired and rebranded into SABC+ during the month of November.

New Series Alert: Laxmi And 4 Other Series Still Awaiting On Star Life (Drafted Version)

During the week, various sources shared posters to Star Life's upcoming show Laxmi and just like Family Secrets on S3, they mistook the show for the one produced by the SABC. So we composed a demo of what's to come on the channel.

Trust me when I say the final list is WAY TOO BIG and this is only a draft of it due to sources mislabeling content as we are planning to publish this alongside Zee World by next month unfortunately that's not entirely the case.

Roundups #114: Spider-Man Spin-Off Silk: Spider-Society Greenlit By MGM+ And Amazon Prime Video, Ultra Violet And Black Scorpion Cancelled On Disney Channel After One Season And Looney Tunes Cartoons Cancelled On Cartoon Network And HBO Max

The Spiderverse continues its expansion

Superheros are taking the television world by storm, and Amazon Prime Video is taking this opportunity to get in on all the action. The first confirmed Spider-Man spinoff will be Silk: Spider Society, but it won't be the only one according to Sony.

For those who remember, Sony and Disney didn't see eye to eye when it came to the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. After the second installment, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Sony and Disney had a hard time coming to a financial deal, leaving many to wonder if the third film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was going to happen. However, the two companies came to terms with the fact that Sony will hold the screen rights to all of the Spider-Man films and characters, which is now allowing Sony to jump in on creating spin-offs of its own.

Amazon Studios and Sony will introduce audiences to Cindy Moon, a.k.a. Silk. While no one is sure how many shows fans are getting, one is Silk: Spider Society, which will be the first to kick off the new Spider-Man universe when it debuts on MGM Plus domestically before launching globally on Prime Video. There is no word on how exactly the series will portray Moon's backstory, but there should be some excitement around The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang, who will also be heading Silk: Spider Society. Kang will also serve as executive producer alongside Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with whom she developed the series.

Ultra Violet And Black Scorpion Cancelled

Unfortunately, it’s not all confetti and cake. Villains of Valley View may live to fight another day, but its superhero block mate, Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion is heading to early retirement. Disney Channel decided to end the series after only 1 season. It’s a disappointing ending for yet another Latina superhero this year. First Leslie Grace’s Batgirl, now Scarlett Estevez’s Violet? This year has actually been marked by a concerning amount of Hispanic-led series cancelled too soon.

First announced way back in January 2020, it was intended to star professional wrestler Blue Demon Jr. and have a heavier luchadore / profesional wrestling influence. The pandemic and other behind the scenes issues resulted in a long road to get the show off the ground. The first major issue is that the pandemic left the series from receiving full greenlight until January 2021, one year later. At that time, Scarlett Estevez joined the series as Ultra Violet.

For reasons unknown, Blue Demon Jr. departed the series along with the original producer and it was retooled as Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion. In August 2021, J.R. Villarreal tagged in as Black Scorpion to replace Blue Demon and the series finally filmed. Disney could have aired a special sneak peek of the pilot during Hispanic Heritage month in 2021, but did not. When it finally premiered this past June, it seemed that they’d been holding it back for a few months already. Then, it felt like they were burning it off when they dropped the entire summer’s set of 10 episodes on Disney+ right away. The television ratings certainly suffered from this decision.

Looney Tunes Cartoons is officially on its way out, this is the version of the series that premiered on HBO Max

Developed by Pete Brown (Creator of Uncle Grandpa), he wanted Looney Tunes Cartoons to go back to the basics. These didn't go out of the way to reinvent Bugs Bunny and everyone else. Instead, it was more of an update to the 1940s Looney Tunes era which isn't a bad thing.

These characters are timeless, thrown in any time period and setting and maybe change a few things here and there it's still fun to watch.

While the reception of this show is positive, Pete revealed something on Instagram:

Today was a final mix of the 209 Looney Tunes Cartoons shorts we created. Congratulations to all involved. That's all folks.

The end of this version doesn't mean the end of the franchise as Looney Tunes has got a ton of upcoming projects such as Bugs Bunny Builders, Tiny Toons Looniversity, Tweety Mysteries and The Day The Earth Blew Up.

New Series Alert: Laxmi Coming Soon To Star Life

Star Life, an international television channel owned by Disney Star which is home to various Bollywood shows such as Anupama, Lost In Love, Imlie and Love By Chance is set to launch yet another series outside of the StarPlus tile titled Laxmi (Lakshmi Ghar Aayi).

The social drama tells the story of Maithli, a young educated woman, gets married to Raghav without giving any dowry. However, Raghav's mother is determined to extort materialistic things from her. Simran Pareenja, Akshit Sukhija and Ananya Khare are the leads.

Produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms, the 2021 series sets out to deal with issues regarding dowry which is still prevailing in India.

Just like Loved By Chance, Laxmi is one of the only shortest shows in primetime as several other shows such as Lost In Love, Anupama and Imlie are still ongoing for audiences in India meaning the only sure way these series could exit is for them to pause production.

Laxmi replaces Loved By Chance from 26 December which is just a day after Christmas and also the Day Of Goodwill.

New Channel Alert: Qwest TV Will Also Be Made Available To Stream On Showmax

In September, MultiChoice held a showcase where they unveiled several new content for their consumers. Alongside those developments came two new channels, Moonbug Kids and Qwest TV of which one is still awaiting release on the pay-tv platform.

Founded by Quincy Jones, Qwest TV is a jazz skewed destination celebrating the life of millenniums through concerts, documentaries and interviews. It works as a multimedia outlet as it comes with its own streaming service for which the linear channel sources it content.

For several months despite no channel, MultiChoice has been promoting various content for Qwest TV but from the looks of it their teams get the time allocation mixed up you find yourself promoting February 2022 when it should write October.

But from what's clear in this documents is that the channel will likely arrive by early 2023 and it's all thanks to Showmax as they have the first quarter of 2022 panned out for Qwest TV.

Interesting to note, MultiChoice never mentioned that Qwest TV was aligned to their digital approach kind of like newcomer Moonbug Kids which too bundles itself on Showmax. I mean it kind of makes sense considering how their last attempt at Jazz turned out.

From the looks of things it's possible MultiChoice is hellbent on making Qwest TV succeed where VH1, MTV Hits and BET Jazz all of which hail from Paramount Global failed to do so.

The three mentioned brands (probably BET Jazz) were as relevant internationally as seen with Qwest TV but all took the plunge. So who knows maybe this time around things will be different with Showmax tagging along regardless I stopped relying on DStv for music.

Why Novela Magic Is Being Snatched From DStv Customers In South Africa?

Novela Magic was Africa's first attempt at a storytelling channel geared for viewers in Africa and I know the channel won't be killed off entirely but it is going off air in South Africa so I have every right to refer it to it in the past tense.

As it is the channel has a few days left and there's been nothing but absolute silence probably because MultiChoice didn't bother put up a termination notice so viewers will be stunned when they find channel 165 is blocked thinking account payment or technical issues when in fact it was snatched.

An early overview of the channel revealed it would source their content from Mzansi Magic, kykNET, Africa Magic and further local channels from M-Net. From what was understood about the channel it took its content mainly from the latter three.

While as brands like Maisha Magic, Pearl Magic, Abol TV and Zambezi Magic are still trying to build their offering for Novela Magic so it could explain why it is being snatched from DStv customers and Paramount's channels were used to compensate the affected viewers.

While as Easyview has Magic Showcase and other customers higher than Family have the latter three channels Access customers are just short with 1 channel being Africa Magic.

It's amazing how consumers on this package are up-to-date with Nigeria's Big Brother and Idols while SA's adaptations come with a bigger price tag. Now history is repeating itself but this time with the West African content taking a plunge.

Magic Showcase which is being used for leverage has a ton of content from the channel but MultiChoice opted to exclude the channel without taking to account the amount of unseen content on the package including Legacy and My Kitchen Rules SA.

Is Mzansi Wethu ever going to get any of the above-mentioned shows if Mzansi Magic has its own baggage to worry about?

From what was understood as mentioned earlier, Novela Magic is how you see Moja 9.9. on Moja Love - repeats. But the moment the channel starts reducing the amount of Mzansi Magic or Africa Magic it's very much possible for MultiChoice to reconsider.

At the same time, I feel that it would be best for Mzansi Wethu to pull a kykNET with their Turkish offering it but this time distribute a number of content from M-Net's local channels and scrap Mzansi Music and that outdated kids block for which kykNET & Kie had restructured.

I mean the channel is accessible to Premium clients so all the more sense to have it restructured. If anyone wants kids shows tune into JimJam and Mzansi Music already has a dedicated channel which you can pour your heart's content.

Hip-Hop 411 Is Bringing The House Down On PremiumFree TV

It's been a while since the Openview competitor has made any headlines. The last anyone got an update had to do with its launch in South Africa alongside the mishap of the allocation of their channels to rivaling outlet.

Now we've recieved word from our sources that a new music destination Hip-Hop 411 will make a landing to PremiumFree and become the exclusive home to all their content.

Founded by Lwazi Nonyukela, Hip-Hop 411 is a black owned production agency which produces content for television in this case ones that idolize the genre. From what 411 suggests, they set out to be trendsetters with news and other updates on your favourite stars.

Some celebs the brand promote include Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, A-Reece and so forth.

Hip-Hop 411 is said to be folded under Pulse TV but with the amount of content you'd see here you'd expect more but it's not like PremiumFree TV does duplications as they rather pull an eExtra and cram as much content onto one channel as opposed launching a channel with a similar concept.

Recap: A Look At Some Of The Changes Made To The Website

Entertainment Inside Us (Insidus) has conducted several experiments over the past few months and after almost a year we can now say we're 80% complete with some of the adjustments made toward our site in an attempt to make it mobile friendly.

We also updated some tags in case you're wondering where they were placed.

- DStv Highlights rebranded to become DStv Flex, based on an unbundled platform which has yet to launch. This label is based on content coming toward several DStv channels.
- Openview Highlights rebranded to become Openview+, based on an upcoming pay-tv service of course this one is meant to offer updates on content.
- Telenovela Highlights rebranded into Everyday Novelas, based on the first blog I followed regarding Portuguese telenovelas titled Everyday Novelas Africa. What I basically do here is report on a variety of telenovelas from across the world.
- General Highlights rebranded into Google basically this is for various content outside of the above-mentioned tags including music, gardening and celebs.
- Kids Highlights rebranded into Regular Nick which based on two UK based brands responsible for my backlinks, Daily Nick (Nickelodeon/Paramount fan account), RegularCapital (Cartoon Network/Warner Bros. Discovery fan account).
- Streaming Highlights rebranded into YouTube Premium basically the plus side of YouTube which includes Disney+, Netflix and more streamers but YouTube (to some extent).
- Games rebranded into Insidus Games based on the gaming website which distributes selected content basically we'll only be distributing files into that site while reporting news here.
- Sports rebranded to Superhero which is based on another site responsible for backlinks, Anime Superhero.

I can't promise anyone that these tags won't be altered as much as I can't promise anyone that more might join the list.

Earlier in the year, we added a Random, Recent, Trending and Related Posts widget of which one was retained while Trending Posts widget will be treated as a weekly segment.

We also added two adverts on the site the first (top) seeing as a lot of traffic is available there will be used for movies, series, telenovelas and cartoons. The bottom part is more niche so we'll use it for other stuff such as books, games and other general stuff.

You may have noticed some bugs on the site that we've managed to "adjust" following the inclusion of Turkish Couple Edits and Odd1sOut so you won't be bothered with them all the time or at least when you are on tags similar to these two.

Lastly, feel free to post your suggestions or if you're looking to promote your content (e.g. YouTube channel or book, as seen below). You can find a contact sheet below.

New Series Alert: 3AM - The Office To Make Its African Debut On KIX

KIX has been regarded as martial arts movie channel for about two years on the DStv platform and just like most movie channels or in this case KIX based channels seen in other countries it transitions to general entertainment which is out consumers will be seeing in the coming months with the launch of its first series 3AM - The Office.

The Hungry Ghost Festival is around the corner. A newcomer at a workplace offends the ghosts in his office building when he shows disrespect for the spirits on his first day at work. In the course of a night shift, the man and his colleagues working overtime experience spooky encounters that make them reflect on their behaviours and beliefs...

The 5 part anthology series is led by Ivan Low, Thian Sew Kim and Batu Lim.

Produced by Thrill, a general entertainment channel owned by Celestial Tiger Entertainment is home to a variety of series and interesting enough these come from the same people that manage KIX so you could say coincidence.

All that is left is for the channel to supply similar to TNT's AEW. They already have the international movie slate covered as the channel had been doubling down in that area with The Huntsman: Winter War, The Bourne Trilogy, Transporter and Lucy.

In the first episode titled The Office, a school girl joins two internet content creators in a horror video project filmed in an old building behind their school. The trio encounters a bullying gang and as events unfold, it becomes clear that the girl holds a personal grudge against the gang and is blinded by hatred to exercise justice, even if it means sacrificing the innocents.

3AM - The Office is expected to rollout in the coming months although a date hasn't been specified I presume they'll reserve it in the weekends during the late nights.

Review: Openview Competitor Is The Linear Version To Netflix

Netflix is an American based streaming service which has been dominating the global market for the past decade with shows like Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy, The Crown, Blood & Water, He-Man and the Oddballs but that's not why I compare it to PremiumFree TV.

PremiumFree TV is an African based free to view platform taking on the likes of eMedia Investments' Openview platform that basically does what I found common with Netflix - being original.

I mean you won't find any of SABC or e.tv's channels sitting on there even something as educational as Mindset is not sitting on the platform only brands like Sports Connect, Kiddiwinks, Romanza and True African brands that not a lot of people are familiar with.

Hasbro To Sell eOne TV, But Keep Family Brands

In a development that many saw coming, Hasbro has announced today that it’s initiating a sale process for eOne’s library and adult-skewing scripted and unscripted content businesses.

“As we execute Blueprint 2.0 [link] with a focus on strategic investment in key franchise brands like D&D, Peppa Pig and Transformers, we plan to expand our entertainment offerings across scripted TV, digital shorts and blockbuster films,” said CEO Chris Cocks in a statement.

Olivier Dumont, president of kids and family brands at eOne, has confirmed to Kidscreen that his division will not be affected by the sale. The eOne Family Brands portfolio includes high-performing IPs such as PJ Masks, Power Rangers and preschool series Ricky Zoom. PJ Masks, in particular, has a robust Hasbro-branded consumer products program spanning toys, playsets and costumes, as well as a broad range of licensed products from category-leading partners.

Assets that are for sale include eOne’s library content, unscripted series and non-Hasbro scripted series and films, as well as Hasbro’s stake in eOne’s film and TV distribution business.

The announcement builds on Hasbro’s most recent investment call, in which the company introduced a strategy to lean on its legacy IPs for brand-building, while using eOne’s studio capabilities to develop new ones like Kiya. In February, Hasbro hired Ruedilyn Cox as VP of global franchise strategy and management for this fledging TV-driven IP that centers around a young superhero and her best friends.

“The company plans to maintain significant development, production and financing capabilities to support its core brands across film, TV, animation and digital shorts,” according to Hasbro’s investor statement, which notes that its entertainment team will continue to operate under the eOne production banner until—and if—a sale is completed.

Power Rangers Actor Jason David Frank Has Died

Jason David Frank was a key attraction to the Power Rangers franchise, debuting on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series when it premiered in 1993. Frank was one of the most–if not the most–consistent presence throughout the franchise, appearing in 10 series and four movies. Although he primarily portrayed the Green Ranger, he would also later play the White, Black and Red Rangers through various iterations in the Power Rangers franchise, which has run almost consistently since the ‘90s, with one as recently as this September.

Power Rangers of course continues to have a major fanbase, which never really gave itself a chance to die down much since 1993. Going back to that time, basically everyone of that age had a favorite Power Ranger and took on that role during recess. And let’s face it, many of us argued over who got to be the Green Ranger.

In addition to his acting career, Jason David Frank was an accomplished martial artist. Frank was an 8th degree black belt and was even inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame. He also had a short MMA career in 2010, with an amateur record of 3-0 and a professional record of 1-0, winning by submission.

Many have begun to send their thoughts on the news of Jason David Frank’s unfortunate death. Friend and trainer Mike Bronzoulis wrote on social media, “Jason was a good friend to me and I will miss him. Love n prayers for his wife Tammy and their kids, I pray that God gets yall through this difficult time.”
