Room to Improve sets out to create a diverse range of beautifully designed and cleverly built homes. In this season, master architect Dermot Bannon is ready to take on an array of properties, some with quirkier challenges than others – from pebble dash to plywood, steep embankments to faux Georgian pillars. His clients are more informed, more opinionated and more demanding than ever before, but similarly to all other years, there is only one person who they feel can make their household dreams come true. Dermot is passionate about design and will go to any lengths to persuade these homeowners to take on his ideas. He has three quantity surveyors to work with this season, all determined to keep his designs on budget. The role of the architect is sometimes designer, sometimes mediator and always perfectionist. Journey with us as we are taken through the spaces, showcasing architecture, interior design and landscape design; discover valuable tips and ideas offered up by local experts, and recreate some of these looks in your own home.

Hosting this season is TV and radio presenter, and emcee Leigh-Anne Williams – celebrating 15 years of her illustrious career in the media and entertainment industry this year. With a captivating smile and a more than confident demeanour, Leigh-Anne brings her charm, wit and passion to be the best she can be at what she does in the latest season of Finest Homes.

She is best known for co-hosting the Expresso Show on SABC3, as well as hosting her own radio show – The Morning Show with Leigh-Anne Williams on Good Hope FM. On Interior Design Masters, ten aspiring designers on the cusp of turning full-time professional are launched into the world of commercial interior design, as they compete to win a life changing design contract at one of London’s top hotels. With a new commercial space to work on each week, across the series the designers will be set eight different design challenges, ranging from Show homes, Restaurants, Hotels and Hair Salons. On each task, they will be tested on a whole range of skills as they attempt to work their magic and show off their design prowess to the judges. Leading the team of Interior Design Masters is former Editor in Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin. She will be judging the redesigns each week, and she will get the final say as to who will stay and who will be eliminated. A different guest judge will accompany her each week, and they will be on hand to offer their expertise, help evaluate who has achieved the perfect design, and decide who will be going home. Out of ten, only one will walk away with the prize of a lifetime and get on the road to becoming an Interior Design Master.

They are shown through three houses that suit their specific brief, and they choose one at the end of each episode.
