People's Weather On DStv Changes Channel Number

From DStv channel 415 to DStv
channel 180 People’s Weather , Africa’s first and only 24/7 climate, environment and weather channel, will be changing its channel number from DStv channel 415 to DStv channel 180 on Tuesday, 5 January 2016. This channel renumbering will allow MultiChoice Africa to create capacity for new channels and future expansion while making channel navigation more user-friendly when the People’s Weather is positioned alongside the Lifestyle and Culture group of channels on the DStv
platform. All DStv subscribers will still be able to get up to date with daily weather forecasts of your favourite destinations on the Detailed Bulletin via its live weather graphics updated every three hours. Subscribers can also stay informed about high tide and low tide per
coastal region with the Coastal Report. People’s Weather also offer viewers riveting programming about the climate, climate change and the effect human nature has on our planet. This year saw the first live broadcast of 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth: The World Is Watching
direct from Paris on People’s Weather. In joining forces with partners such as Climate Reality and Conservation SA its aims is to educate, inform and engage people in Southern Africa to understand the importance of sustaining the environment that surrounds them.
New programming introduced at the beginning of the year, saw the channel including more lifestyle shows. In Season is a weekly series showcasing the amazing seasonal produce, travel, fun and food to be had in South Africa. A show that will make sure you buy, cook and play
with the seasons. Plus each episode feature an amazing South African chef that will make sure you have
something different to put on the table. My Photo gives every photography enthusiast professional or amateur, a chance to showcase their best photos. Rhino Blog follow
the plight of our rhino’s with presenter Bonné going into the bush to tell their story and the stories of the people trying to save them. People’s Weather strive to tell the
stories of locals living the weather with its ever popular People’s Stories and new additions Under the Sun and Seven Day Forecast living the weather for seven days in small towns around South Africa. Exciting new content is in development for 2016 from Come Rain or Shine a
wedding show with a weather twist to Pet Weather ! Subscribers on all DStv packages (Premium, Extra, Compact, Family, Access & Easyview) can tune in to these great shows on DStv channel 180 from 5 January 2016.
