Heading In May 2016 On Discovery Family

PREHISTORIC PREMIERE
From Sunday, 1 May at 18:30
‘Prehistoric’ takes viewers on a fascinating journey back in time to see what stood, lived, fought and died  hundreds, thousands and even millions of years ago.  Observe the lush green land prowled by woolly  mammoths and saber-toothed tigers, and rewind to the  age of dinosaurs, where pterodactyls circled the skies in search of their prehistoric prey. Focusing on America, this  mind-blowing series includes an investigation into the  high-rises and sprawl of modern Los Angeles reverting  back to farmland, settlements and deserts. While many know that ferocious dinosaurs and large  mammals once roamed America, few of us realise that they walk in the footsteps of these extinct  animals every day. Discover more about the fascinating beasts that once dominated the Earth and see  these creatures stalk the exact sites where major cities and famous landmarks now stand.

NASA'S GREATEST MISSIONS PREMIERE
From Thursday, 12 May at 20:10
Commemorating more than half a century of NASA, this is a chance to relive the dramatic story of the space agency’s pioneering missions. Viewers join the agency's predecessors on the early quest to break through the sound  barrier. We then move on to the historic first moon landing, the breathtaking  first shuttle launch, and the spine-tingling unattached space walk by Bruce  McCandless. These series of programmes commemorate some of mankind's  greatest achievements since we first looked skyward and longed to touch  the moon, using fully re-mastered HD footage to tell personal stories of the  space agency. It features first-hand testimony from those whose lives were  touched by the adventure of this exciting era, from astronauts to caterers.  Each episode will focus on a separate, groundbreaking mission.

The range of creatures  include species of sharks such as oceanic whitetips, tiger sharks, bull sharks,  hammerheads and nurse sharks, alongside sea turtles, iguanas, dolphins, whales  and flamingos. As they live their lives, all have their own special relationships with  the Bahama Blue.

LOST & FOUND WITH MIKE & JESSE PREMIERE
From Tuesday, 24 May at 20:10
Ever wanted to go back and thank someone - a parent, a  teacher or a friend? Heart-warming new series ‘Lost & Found  with Mike & Jesse’ follows the intrepid “professional finders” who help people do just that. Best friends Mike Schario and Jesse Brown own Finders Keepers, an Ohio “weird-tique” shop bursting with pop culture memorabilia from the past 50  years. But on the side, they are treasure hunters hired to  track down long lost, but much loved items and return them  to their owners as a thank you gesture from the people they  helped or inspired. Mike and Jesse leave no stone unturned  as they take their expertise on the road to help people across America find a lost or special personal  item. From reuniting an 89-year old WWII veteran with a cherished lost relic to finding a treasured  family heirloom for a foster parent as a thank you from his children, they go to extreme lengths to help  families show gratitude, provide closure, and bring back cherished memories.
