The quaint and idealistic seafront is also stalked by killers who, like the sea itself, have no respect for human life.
This new series of Coastal Killers takes viewers on a journey to the cliff’s edge, where the land meets the sea, and where life meets death. At first glance, our seaside towns are all fun fairs, candy floss and breezy promenades. Equally, when the carousel stops turning and the lights along the shorefront go out, there emerges from the darkness an underworld of murder and mayhem.

MURDER IN THE OUTBACK: THE FALCONIO AND LEES MYSTERY
Channel premiere.
Sundays at 20:00, from 5th until 26th December.

The Peter Falconio Case is a story that just won’t be put to rest. For some experts and onlookers, the guilty verdict in Bradley Murdoch’s murder trial still feels clouded with doubt. They are left with an uneasy feeling that there was a lot more to what happened in the remote Australian outback on the night of Falconio’s disappearance.
This was no open and shut case. Too many questions, doubts, grey areas have left the door ajar. Inconsistencies and forensic question marks abound, and some key leads have laid unfollowed all this time, waiting for new investigators to pick up the thread. The Falconio case haunts lives of those it touched. Some are fractured by the notoriety, others have become obsessed with chasing the truth. But what is the truth in this story? After 18 years it’s time for a re-examination.

As one of journalists who covered the case says, “I always thought there was another chapter waiting to be written.” This series is that chapter. The series will hear the stories of the individuals affected by this event and will use new and exclusive access to the original defence case documents to re-examine the evidence put forward at the trial.

Investigators have searched for the sadistic criminal for forty years and with recent evidence suggesting he may still be alive, in 2016 the FBI Sacramento announced a national campaign and $50,000 reward to identify the perpetrator – making the investigation hotter than ever.

Through five one-hour episodes, Unmasking A Killer takes an in-depth look at the manhunt, patterns, escape methods and mind games of the Golden State Killer, raising a key to catching the criminal – potentially linking him to another series of unsolved crimes. Interviews with investigators, law enforcement and victims, who have never spoken out publicly, offer information to help solve the mystery of a man who has managed to fly successfully under the radar for decades.

MURDER IN AMISH COUNTRY
Season 1
Sundays at 19:00.

Murders of any kind are thankfully rare events within the peaceful and reserved Amish and Anabaptist communities that are scattered across the United States. When they do occasionally occur, investigating detectives soon find out that solving them is unlike working any other kind of case. As one cop put it: “It was easier getting information from the Mob than from the Amish.”
Dramatic, original and revealing, “Murder In Amish Country” tells the true stories of homicide investigations in this unfamiliar world, where witnesses are notoriously distrustful of outsiders
- even the police - and where justice is often dealt with internally.
Combining unparalleled access to those in or close to the Amish community, captivating interviews with the friends and family of the victims as well as with law enforcement officers and visually arresting re-enactments, the series takes viewers into a hidden world as detectives strive to break through the walls of silence and distrust by uncovering secrets, concealed deep rooted relationships and the rivalries and passions that lie beneath the surface in each community.
