People's Weather is an an environmental and lifestyle channel currently seen on Openview and DStv. For several years, it was known as a 24 hour weather service but over the years they've transitioned to offer a range of content including wildlife and doccies.
Glow TV went dark on Openview and StarSat earlier in the year and this included a range of original programming. As seen through various advertisements, it had confirmed that through Denver Naicker that his talk show had been revived for People's Weather.
Get Real Talk Show With Denver Naicker was unveiled back in 2019 on Glow TV in association with Digital Productions. It follows the host as he tries to better the lives of South Africans and consumers by inviting guests to share their experiences in life.
With Glow TV's owner Nismedia set to go through legal proceedings with eMedia Investments regarding the brand's carriage agreement. Similar to e.tv's 4 channels on DStv, it might return on a limited basis so this deal with People's Weather secures the show's future.
People's Weather had been repetitive for sometime on top of rolling out a lot of short form content. Perhaps this is one way to make the channel more productive and lure potential consumers on both Openview and DStv who followed the series on Glow TV.
In this past week, Soweto TV axed the remaining portion of Glow TV for the Colombian telenovela, River Of Passions. As mentioned already, another one of the brand's former series are making a comeback on Sundays at 7pm from June on People's Weather.
