Ultimate Braai Master Season 7: Debuts On Netflix And Replaces Family Feud SA On e.tv This Month

The reality competition show Ultimate Braai Master was picked up for the seventh season on e.tv and streamed on Netflix SA earlier in the year.

Gqeberha, previously Port Elizabeth, paid R2 million to the production of the upcoming season of Ultimate Braai Master, with host Justin Bonello, for the series to film a self-contained season within the Nelson Mandela Bay municipality.

In previous seasons, Ultimate Braai Master, produced by Okuhle Media, would criss-cross South Africa in road trips for braai challenges at various scenic locations in the country.

However, with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the only viable and practical possibility is to film a new season over six weeks that is geographically contained. This is similar to what Afrokaans did for M-Net with Survivor SA: Immunity Island in the Eastern Cape that will play out on the Wild Coast in June.

Besides Bonello, the chef-judges Peter Goffe-Wood and Benny Masekwameng will return to judge the braai challenges in which teams of two compete against each other to win R1 million.

The season, made up of 13 episodes, will again be shown on e.tv and, for the first time in Ultimate Braai Master history, on Netflix SA as well.

Season 7 airs Sundays at 18:00 on e.tv from 25 September replacing Family Feud SA and will also be available on Netflix SA.

New Series Alerts: I Do, My Heart Knows And Perfect Husband Coming Soon To Zee World

Following the channel's schedule change and launch of its first original dance show Kellogg's Dance Africa Dance. The channel will also be introducing three more shows in the coming months: I Do, My Heart Knows and Perfect Husband.

I Do (Qubool Hai 2.0.), this web series is a sequel to the 2012 counterpart and welcomes back Asad and Zoya -- two individuals who have surrendered to their ideals. One to the cause of his country, another to her duty towards her family.

For those in South Africa and various African markets they got to see the 2012 series maybe this show is summary of that if not you snooze you lose. Judging by the episode number it's likely going to be a weekly series.

The second series My Heart Knows (Tujhse Hai Raabta), focuses on a young girl whose mother passes away and then a stepmother enters her life. But despite the love that the stepmother gives, the daughter refuses to accept her stepmother and the story develops from there.

The third one Perfect Husband (Perfect Pati), explores the non-idealistic married life of Vidhita and Pushkar and tries to question the thought that whether an ideal son is capable of being an ideal husband.

My Heart Knows and Perfect Husband airs 18 October while I Do will be shared by the channel.

eMedia Investments No Longer Have Broadcasting Rights To La Liga, Could This Be The End Of e.tv News & Sport?

Last year, eMedia Investments claimed that they secured rights to La Liga for the next 4 years now they're saying they no longer have the rights to La Liga.

Angry and upset customers were rallying around Openview with queries about La Liga only to be disappointed. The company didn't bother issuing a press release or respond honestly to these consumers.

Which kind of leads to the question what will become of News & Sport?

They started out as OpenNews offering a mix of local and international news only to chop most of the international news for sports content which led to the name change.

News & Sport has been dominating the viewership circuit and become one of the top 10 watched channels in South Africa that they even bagged rights to Impact Wrestling.

Following the launch of SABC Sport, eMedia Investments has diverted most of its attention towards that channel than they do News and Sport.

As months pass, SABC Sport seems to be the only one bringing in the viewers while News & Sport is heavily reliant on content from Impact Wrestling and reruns of e.tv News.

SABC's sports division recently signed a content distribution agreement with ESPN the same company that distributes NBA to News and Sport so they could just snatch that from them.

Also, SABC wants to launch a second sports channel aka SABC Sport 2 which is likely to follow the same format as ESPN's linear channels on DStv and StarSat. Not to mention, they were rumours a year ago that FreeSport UK would launch.

SABC Sport 2 or FreeSport could serve as a placeholder for News & Sport while news and Impact Wrestling is transmitted through eMedia Investments other channels either that or it becomes an Impact Wrestling channel infused with other content.

SPI International Launches A Digital Version Of Their Top Performing Turkish Channel, Dizi

Global media company SPI International unveils their new digital streaming service, Dizi, which will offer a selection of critically-acclaimed Turkish series as well as the best series, telenovelas and soap operas from all over the world depending on the demands of the local markets. Dubbed the Home Of Good Stories, Dizi combines the lean-back and lean-forward viewing experiences with a linear channel offer and a large selection of on-demand content.
.
“The launch of the Dizi streaming service signifies the evolution of the Dizi brand into a fully integrated service that combines linear and on-demand content propositions to bring the best series from Turkey and beyond to all available screens around the globe,” comments Berk Uziyel, CEO at SPI International. “As a part of SPI’s macro strategy, we offer good movies spanning all genres under one roof via FilmBox’s "Home of Good Movies". Now with our Dizi brand, we introduce the "Home of Good Stories", where in addition to some of the most sought-after Turkish series, viewers can expect to see top-quality series with powerful storylines from around the world in the future,” adds Uziyel.
.
The service’s global debut will take place this week at a NEM Dubrovnik event. In reference to the new product, SPI's Chief Marketing Officer Haymi Behar says: “The Dizi app builds on the success of the Timeless Dizi Channel and features around 400 hours of content from an inventory of critically-acclaimed series such as Black Money Love, Kurt Seyit & Shura and Insider with new episodes added monthly. The app will feature English, Polish and Spanish localized interfaces and 13 language options and more will be added in time. The Dizi service will both enable viewers to tune into the linear channel and watch episodes on-demand through their preferred devices at their leisure.”

Subscribers can access the service at www.dizi.com via web, download the mobile app that’s compatible with iOS and Android operating systems or stream their favorite content through the Smart TV app that’s available for Apple TV and soon-to-come for Android TV, Samsung and LG Smart TV devices. Dizi service also aims to integrate with many platforms and partner operators worldwide to provide their subscribers a seamless entertainment experience and the option to discover new series on demand.

For those who were upset with MultiChoice for terminating the channel and those who want to view the content in English. Good news the above fits your tastes.
