During the month, it was reported that eMedia Investments was looking to add This Is Love to their linear platforms. This was after an advertisement was spotted on their channels unveiling various shows on Openview and now eExtra will be rolling out the show in the coming weeks.

According to the programme guide, This Is Love will air in a 25 minute timeslot at 14:10 from 26 January while eExtra will air a rebroadcast of Beyhadh at 13:45 from 25 January.

This Is Love follows Anushka Reddy who returns home after spending seven years in the US with Siddhant Sinha is a budding lawyer, belongs to middle-class family from Bihar.

BBC is retiring an iconic brand

BBC Entertainment is an international television channel broadcasting comedy, drama, light entertainment, reality and children's programming (some regions only) from the BBC, Channel 4 and other UK production houses. It is operated by BBC Studios.

During the week, it was reported that BBC Studios will look to the close the BBC Entertainment in all markets on 31 March 2024. This comes after 4-6 years after the channel was replaced by BBC Brit and BBC First in other countries.

In a statement, BBC Studios said it would continue to serve local audiences in the EMEA region through our bespoke genre channels, the expansion of our digital service, BBC Player, and suite of FAST channels. “BBC Studios has strong partnerships with local free to air broadcasters, pay-TV networks and digital platforms across the region and many BBC programmes will also continue to be seen through these providers as well as through our own branded services.”

The Mandalorian enters the big screens

The Mandalorian and Grogu are embarking on a new adventure — to movie theaters. Directed by Jon Favreau, and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian & Grogu will go into production in 2024.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm's ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works.

The upcoming seventh season of ABC's The Good Doctor will be the final chapter of the medical drama starring and executive produced by Freddie Highmore.

The Good Doctor, from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature, is the second long-running ABC drama coming to an end this season, joining Station 19, and the latest series that premiered during the 2017-2018 season to wrap with its upcoming seventh season, along with Station 19 and CBS’

Selena Gomez stars in a biopic

The pop singer and “Only Murders in the Building” star teased the role Tuesday night by posting a picture of Ronstadt’s 2013 memoir “Simple Dreams” on her Instagram story.

Ronstadt is a country, rock ‘n’ roll and Latin music legend, with her 1970s albums “Heart Like a Wheel” and “Simple Dreams” reaching critical and commercial success and showcasing her versatility across genres. Throughout her career she has won 11 Grammys, and she was honored by both the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Ronstadt and Gomez are both of Mexican descent. The latter has been nominated twice for a Golden Globe for her performance on Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” which she executive produces and stars in alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. Gomez broke out as an actor on Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” and achieved success as a music artist with hits like “Lose You to Love Me” and “Love You Like a Love Song.”

• Gangaram: The story involves Gangaram Roy, a charming simpleton guy from a village whose life revolves around music. He is the son of Band Master Nepal Roy, who runs a famous musical band named "Surjhankar." He finds music in everything and dreams big about becoming a successful singer.

Development Alert (Rumour): Mother By Chance Initially Slated For Zee World Has Reportedly Been Acquired By Zee One

Last year, it was reported that the family drama Mother By Chance known by the title Sanjog was slated to launch on Zee World. After being a no show, there's finally an update and to viewer's dismay the show will be allocated on Zee One instead.

Mother By Chance follows the lives of two mothers from different backgrounds takes a turn after their daughters get swapped accidently at the time of birth. Seven years later, they are still confused about their daughters and their contrasting personalities.

It starred Shefali Sharma as Amrita Kothari, Rajneesh Duggal as Rajeev Kothari, Kamya Panjabi as Gauri, Rajat Dahiya as Gopal, Sonyaa Ayodhya as Rakshita and Ishaan Singh Manhas as Inspector Alok Agarwal.

New Series Alert: Play Room Expands The Sesame Workshop With Abby's Flying Fairy School And Amazing Adventure

Last year, eMedia Investments acquired rights to Takalani Sesame a South African adaptation of Sesame Street after SABC held rights for over a decade. Now Play Room will be adding more shows from the franchise with Abby's Flying Fairy School And Amazing Adventure.

Synopsis for Flying Fairy School

Fairy Abby Cadabby visits the flying fairy school with her friends Trautsichnicht and Blögg. Teacher Frau Funkelnase teaches her students all kinds of interesting facts. Together, students and teacher use educational rhymes and songs to solve the problems.

The nine-minute segments focus on rhyme, reasoning, problem-solving, and cooperation. It debuted in season 40 and ran through season 45, though season 43 was the last to feature any new editions.

Synopsis for Amazing Adventure:

"Together with their magical basket, they take off on amazing adventures to incredible locations, learning all about different careers. With a new job mission at each place, Abby—who’s got a brand-new, updated look—uses her confidence and humor as she and Rudy overcome obstacles and persevere until their mission is complete." 

Amazing Adventures debuted by season 49 and is the first animated series to be produced entirely by Sesame Workshop's in-house animation team.

Abby's Flying Fairy School will broadcast on weekdays at 06:15 while Abby's Amazing Adventures airs 25 minutes later at 06:40 on Play Room replacing Thomas And Friends and reducing the timeslot of Oddbods.
