GARDEN HEROES
Garden Heroesreveals the hard work and imagination ordinary people have put into their gardens. This brand-new show seeks out the best amateur gardeners to celebrate the joy of transforming your own space. Each week three contestants will open their gates to our experts - horticulturalist Jimi Blake, garden designer Niall Maxwell and landscape designer Ingrid Swan. The experts will take the tour, examine every leaf and sniff every flower, to evaluate the gardens. How the garden is laid out, how the planting has been done, and what features have been added, are all investigated. But we also want to know what the garden means to the owner. Maybe it’s a place of adventure for kids, perhaps it’s a special space for relaxation, or maybe it’s a fully functional extension of your home, for entertaining and dining. How the garden fits into and enhances your life is an important factor too.

MOVING HOUSES
In this brand-new season of Moving Houses, Clarke Gayford goes along on a journey with New Zealand families, couples and adventurous individuals, transporting their dream homes to their ideal locations. He is challenged to chop up a two-storey bungalow and travel across the farmlands with a historic Marlborough Sounds cottage. He assists a Matata couple trade in their life on the road and moves a brand-new house to an ideal holiday spot. Then, he helps preserve the history of a two-storey family villa, and together with some restoration experts, they tackle a mid-19th Century Vicarage. Finally, he helps Sue and John move their bungalow to their daughter's property.

HOME OF THE YEAR IRELAND

The series showcases homes located all over Ireland including a lighthouse keeper's cottage, converted buildings such as a former carriage house and a former shop, re-imagined semi-detached homes, architectural masterpieces, DIY homes, restored period treasures and new builds. The judges making the tough decisions are design legend Hugh Wallace, interior designer Deirdre Whelan and architect Peter Crowley.

They head to the village of Somersham in Cambridgeshire to meet a couple who can't decide whether to sell their three-bed semi or renovate it, and in the Edinburgh suburb of Portobello, Gary and Bill are torn over their four-bed home set in the grounds of a graveyard.

Grand Designs UK follows intrepid home-builders as they pursue their architectural dreams. Designer and writer Kevin McCloud guides us through the trials and tribulations – physical, financial and emotional –of those obsessively trying to create a unique place to live, often over many months, even years. He begins in Worcestershire for a New Zealand style house on the steep slopes of the Malvern hills, and then visits North London for a derelict old Victorian gatehouse that is getting a full reconstruction. Next up is a dilapidated old agricultural building in the rolling countryside of County Down and a unique Roman courtyard inspired family home near an abbey in South Hertfordshire.
