Vivendi And Canal+ Split Set To Be Finalised By Year End

The separation of Canal+ from Vivendi could happen before the end of 2024 after it announced a shareholder’s meeting for 9 December to vote on the plan.

In a statement Vivendi said that Yannick BollorĂ© had taken note of concerns raised by employee representatives in response to the last December’s feasibity study.

The study was launched amid concern that following the listing of Universal Music Group in 2021 the valuation of the French media giant was suffering.

Under the plans Canal+ would remain a company incorporated and taxed in France. There is also the possibility of a secondary listing on the Johannesburg stock market, depending on the success of its public tender offer for MultiChoice.

Havas, with the majority of its activities being carried out internationally, would be listed as a Dutch public limited liability company (NV) on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange, where Universal Music Group has already been listed.

A newly named company, Louis Hachette Group, would bring together the assets owned by Vivendi in publishing and distribution, and be listed on Euronext Paris.

Vivendi plans to remain a leading player within the creative and entertainment industries, also listed on Euronext Paris. Vivendi would continue to develop Gameloft and actively manage a portfolio of investments, among them Universal Music Group. It would also provide a number of services to the three companies.

Decisions from the relevant market authorities are expected over the next few days.

GBA: Codename KND: Operation Soda + Donkey Kong: King Of Swing + Dora The Explorer: Super Star Adventures + Ed Edd'n Eddy: The Misadventures + The Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown

Codename KND: Operation Soda
It is a dark time for kids worldwide. With the recent passing of the Soda Control Act, the drinking age of Soda has been raised to 13 years and older. The Kids Next Door have refused to recognize this dastardly attempt at prohibiting children from drinking their favorite beverage, and have taken it upon themselves to run a secret operation providing soda to any kid in the world who wants it...no questions asked.

Donkey Kong: King Of Swing
In DK: King of Swing, gameplay is primarily based around the use of the L and R triggers, which control the player character's left and right hands respectively. By holding the trigger, the character's fist will clamp shut, grasping anything in its range. Pegs and pegboards are positioned throughout the environment for characters to grasp, allowing the player to climb and traverse their surroundings. Grasping a peg with the character's right or left hand will respectively cause them to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise around it, and the player must use their spinning momentum to propel them through the air. Both the triggers and the D-pad can be used to affect horizontal character movement while airborne or on the ground. Pressing both triggers simultaneously while grounded will cause the character to jump, while holding the triggers at any time will cause them to store up power, after which they will perform a charge attack when the triggers are released. This can be used to attack enemies and obstacles or cross short gaps. Players can also perform other tasks with their character's hands in combination with their spinning momentum, such as turning cranks, pulling levers, and throwing rocks at distant enemies.

Dora The Explorer: Super Star Adventures
Dora the Explorer: Super Star Adventures is an adventure game for the Game Boy Advance released in 2004. It was developed by ImaginEngine and published by Global Star Software. The game uses pictures and symbols to communicate rather than words. The object of the game is to capture one of the six explorer stars. Each explorer star has a special power such as the ability to be noisy or the ability to create music. In order to capture it, the player must complete a hide-and-seek activity. These activities include maze navigation, matching games, side-scrolling race games, a Frogger-esque game, a complete the pattern activity and a song playing game.

Ed Edd'n Eddy: The Misadventures
The game is divided into six main levels, each having its own separate plot. In the first level, "Cool Yer Ed", the Eds attempt to gather ice cubes to sell snow-cones in the hot summer weather. During the second level, "Pin the Tail on the Ed", the Eds sneak through a sewer system to crash Jimmy's birthday party. For the third level, "Must Be Something I Ed", the Eds race to the candy store, which is offering free jawbreakers as part of a customer appreciation event. The fourth level, "Ed on Arrival", features the Eds navigating through Rolf's construction zone obstacle course to achieve an Urban Ranger badge. In the fifth level, "Nightmare on Ed Street", the Eds venture into an abandoned house to retrieve Jimmy's stuffed animal. The game's sixth level, "Ed Marks the Spot", has the Eds scour the neighborhood for Eddy's stolen stash of jawbreakers.

Two bonus stages are available in the console and Windows versions of the game. In "Ed-Zilla", Ed takes on the role of a giant monster who destroys the cardboard city of Edtropolis. During "Rebel Robot Ranch", Edd and Eddy battle through an army of robots to rescue Ed, who has been captured.

The Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown
The game starts with Timmy Turner being excited to see a new special season finale episode of one of his favorite shows--Crash Nebula—on TV. However, he finds that his TV stops working just as it premieres, and the only other time it can be seen is a day later when it reruns.

Marvel's Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur Cancelled After Two Seasons On Disney Channel And Disney+

Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is based on Marvel Comics and follows the adventures of Lunella Lafayette (voiced by Diamond White) and Devil Dinosaur (voiced by Fred Tatasciore), a 13-year-old genius and her red T-Rex pal, respectively. In addition to a rather stacked supporting cast with the likes of Alfre Woodard and Gary Anthony Williams, executive producer Laurence Fishburne also voices The Beyonder.

Development began after Marvel Studios president Louis D'Esposito showed Fishburne the comic book Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. His interest piqued, Fishburne sought to make an animated series based on the duo. Production proceeded for two years before Steve Loter was hired as an executive producer.

The series received highly positive reviews for its writing, animation, soundtrack, representation and characters. The series also won five Children's and Family Emmy Awards.

The first season of Marvel's Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur was broadcast on Disney Channel from February 10, 2023 to May 6, 2023 consisting of 16 episodes. The second season which is currently on air followed a year later on February 2, 2024 with 24 episodes said to be in development.

According to recent reports, Disney Channel will be ending the show with its current season as a season 3 will not be greenlit. Of course, writers had expressed the idea of a potential third season with a script that was said to be developed all of which will likely not fruition as the remaining episodes will likely be available within the first half of 2025.

Marvel's Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur is not the only animated show by the network to have been cancelled but also Hailey's On It and The Ghost And Molly McGee. It is alleged that Disney has been using a different ratings system (i.e. Disney+) to monitor the performance of these shows and another is them prioritising IPs.

Danny Phantom: The Ultimate Enemy (GBA)

Ten years in the future, Dan Phantom, Danny Phantom's evil older-self, confronts an adult Valerie and tears down Amity Park's ghost shield. In the Ghost Zone, the Observers take notice of the destruction and employ Clockwork, the Master of Time, to make sure Danny never becomes evil.
