MultiChoice And M-Net Expand Their Offering To Angola And Mozambique With The Launches Of Maningue And Kwenda Magic, Could There Be More To The Story?

Through a press release from their showcase, MultiChoice finally unveiled the local Mozambican entertainment channel joining DStv by the end of FY22 and this time it is joined by Kwenda Magic for viewers in Angola.

Maningue Magic was first unveiled in the MultiChoice's previous financial records of course name didn't come up at the time. The new channel is set to deliver a range of local content from reality, lifestyle, music, dramas and quiet possibly movies.

Kwenda Magic comes as suspicious I mean it's not like MultiChoice to just ghost a channel. We already know that viewers will get weekly comedy shows and a dubbed telenovela but that sums up the whole channel.

Recently, I came across a Kwenda Magic page on Facebook and interesting enough the channel is using the page which was abandoned by Jango Magic.

Coincidence, Jango Magic dubs several shows and offered comedies like Kwenda Magic. From what I remember about this channel, it launched in the 2010s era and somewhere along the lines the trail was dead after that.

No promotion no Nada, it lived the rest of its existence away from the tabloids until today that is. So if I had to guess Kwenda Magic might be replacing Jango Magic.

To even out the playing field, MultiChoice duplicates the channel in other regions which offer a Portuguese package seeing that there's no local content present there.

Due to costs Maningue Magic remains in its strains, viewers there have experienced a shortage in channels and there hasn't been much compensation to go around. Just a bigger hole at the tip of your pocket.

Maningue Magic channel 503 and Kwenda Magic channel 502 launch from 17 January 2022.
