How MultiChoice Could Rollout Zee One On DStv?

Zee One has been available in Africa for a few months offering content already seen on Zee World such as Sacred Ties, My Golden Home and Reach For The Stars with a few exceptions such as Guddan.

The channel can be seen on the Indian package of StarSat while eMedia Investments view it as a replacement channel for Glow TV which will continue to be available on Openview until their contracts ends in February 2023.

Zee One in a not so surprising note can't been seen on MultiChoice's DStv and GOtv in South Africa and the rest of Africa as viewers in those regions already have Zee World and content seen on this channel will be familiar with consumers.

Zee World ranks as one of the most popular international telenovela channels in South Africa surpassing channels like Telemundo despite being on the family package while the rest of Africa can view it on Access and the DStv duplicate GOtv.

For anyone with these platforms, they've seen a couple of brands such as Moja 9.9., Mzansi Wethu, Nicktoons and Discovery Family follow Zee One which duplicates content for a different audience and often lure existing viewers.

Why not Zee One?

The channel didn't have much purpose on DStv aside from Zee World even eExtra was caught in that rift now that Zee World will be the only English station distributing Zee TV productions there is a bit of hope for Zee One.

Knowing MultiChoice, they don't have anything special planned for the channel number and a 195 wouldn't be a bad place for a channel like Zee One as it incorporates eExtra afternoon lineup on top of catering to repeats and not a lot of consumers are expecting anything premium in that section.

The Challenges Of Getting Bold And The Beautiful And Days Of Our Lives On DStv

(You can now share on Facebook)

In 2016, the SABC scrapped Days Of Our Lives from SABC 3 and a few years along the line Bold And The Beautiful. Amidst that time, e.tv became the official broadcaster for Days Of Our Lives while EVA (DStv 141) got Bold And The Beautiful.

AMC International, the parent company for EVA opted to discontinue distribution of the channel and in that was Bold And The Beautiful which has since then been viewable on Vodacom's Video Play while Days Of Our Lives will be out on the streets as e.tv opts for more local content.

MultiChoice is pretty much the only hope consumers have in saving these programs. Even though, it would mean paying to view them anything seen on their platform especially in this field can be viewed as a goldmine.

Second batch of rumoured series coming to M-Net, 1Magic, Me and Showmax

There's several from free-to-air stations which have since then been seen on a channel like M-Net such as Survivor, The Amazing Race and NCIS from SABC 3 and America's Got Talent, Chicago PD and Blackish from e.tv.

Even the of rejects such as Dr. Phil, The Real and The Talk from the SABC and UEFA and WWE from e.tv can be transmitted on DStv.

Here's my suggestions for Bold and Days

From what was stated a few years ago, scheduling led to the abandonment of Bold but couldn't M-Net perhaps move it to another station like Me or its local counterpart Mzansi Wethu to reduce the repeat pendant tendency.

Another option could be curating a channel to insert shows like Bold and Days alongside Emmerdale and Coronation Street but chances are the channel would wind up like FOX Life as viewers would expect a stack of content for which such channel might not meet.

The troubles with DStv

As mentioned, M-Net has shown interest if I had to expand a bit further onto their scheduling issue we're basically dealing with a soap opera that has characters that progress daily with their lives and viewers don't want to miss a single detail.

It's not like Judge Judy, where you can skip a couple of hurdles and still make it to the finish line.

MultiChoice have their reasons for stalling I believe these two would fit better on M-Net as they're going through somewhat of an identity crisis with the increased number of streamers bundling content available on the channel.

Of course, M-Net is vouching for limited content services so curating it into an existing or standalone channel on DStv wouldn't be such a bad idea honestly.

SPOILERS: e.tv Didn't Air The Last Episode Of The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants

(You can now share on Facebook)

In the past week, e.tv launched Trollstopia the second prequel to the Trolls franchise replacing The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants both of which are DreamWorks productions but what some viewers don't realise was that the series didn't air to its entirety.

If you remember on Thursday, 10 March instead of e.tv airing the last episode of The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants titled The Aggravated Assault of the Alien Armada it was the episode before it titled The Confusing Crisis of the Conniving Captive.

eToonz being a catch-up channel will likely duplicate the mistake made by e.tv as seen with one of the episodes of Turbo F.A.S.T. where half of one of their episodes from season 1 had audio only.

In the episode titled The Aggravated Assault of the Alien Armada, the M.I.S.F.A.R.T.S. were forced to do hard labor, George and Harold found out that the Biglyans were pretending to make Melvin their king so they can enslave the humans.

News And Sport set to go off air on Openview by the end of March
SABC will launch more channels alongside streaming service
Saloni and East Meets West coming soon to SABC 2

Meanwhile, Dr. Shifty Fitzgibbons turns out to be a Littleite named Itsius Bitsian, and he was unable to help the humans and save Earth, alongside The Monkeys, The Robots, and Moxie Swaggerman leaving the M.I.S.F.A.R.T.S. and Captain Underpants to save the Earth by themselves.

Unlike Turbo F.A.S.T., there's a slight chance that this may not have been e.tv's fault but that of their distributors being NBCUniversal.

e.tv supplies majority of their slate which include a stack of animation produced by DreamWorks Animation such as Where's Waldo and The Mighty Ones even content licensed to NBCUniversal such as Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed and Zafari.

From what I remember from the last episode, it had a very dark ending you saw future Captain Underpants wearing George and Harold as a cape crying meaning a potential story arc but the series ended kissing all possibilities for another season goodbye.

eMedia Vs. MultiChoice: How Weekend Afternoons Might Look For Isono And The Black Door On e.tv With Weekdays On eExtra? + How Much You'll Be Paying For Each DStv Package When MultiChoice Kills 4 Channels?

(You can now share on Facebook)

e.tv plans to reduce their international offering on weeknights by scrapping shows like Chicago PD, The Resident and Seal Team which were currently seen in the 20:30 timeslot for local dramas like Isono and The Black Door.

Also joining the chop will be Days Of Our Lives as its timeslot will be used to fill up the existing offering on the channel while as repeat the newcomers The Black Door and Isono in far off timeslots as seen with 20:30 as seen below:

From April 12th, the lineup appears like this on weekdays:

16:35 Judge Judy
17:00 Isono - repeat
17:30 Droomvelore
18:30 Durban Gen
19:00 House Of Zwide
19:30 Scandal
20:00 e.tv News
20:30 Isono
21:00 Imbewu
21:30 The Black Door

Of course details of the weekend lineup remains quo if I had to guess the schedule could go as follows:

Saturdays
08:30 Scandal! Omnibus
10:20 Imbewu Omnibus
12:15 The Black Door Omnibus
14:20 Little Big Shots/Movies
16:20 Impact
18:00 Date My Family
19:00 South Africa Tonight
19:30 The Carmichael Show

Sundays
08:30 House Of Zwide Omnibus
10:25 Durban Gen Omnibus
12:20 Isono Omnibus
14:00 Movies
16:00 Britain's Got Talent
18:00 Our Perfect Wedding
19:00 South Africa Tonight
19:30 Modern Family

- Dokter Ali S2 coming in April to eExtra
SABC will launch more channels alongside streaming service
Doodsondes returning for a fourth season on eExtra
Saloni and East Meets West coming soon to SABC 2

eExtra, a sister channel to e.tv uses a portion of their schedule to repeat the local dramas seen on e.tv if I had to guess again this is how the schedule could look once Days Of Our Lives goes off air from April 11th:

4:30 Just For Laughs
4:55 High Society Scandal
5:35 Surrender In Love
6:20 The Heir
7:10 Blue Venom Girl
7:50 Isono
8:15 Imbewu
8:40 Fatmagul
9:30 House Of Zwide
10:00 The Black Door

eExtra is set to go off air from the 1st April on DStv amidst the prince increase so this is what the prices look like and what viewers on DStv will be getting for each e.tv channel when the changes take into affect.

The prices for each package
- DStv Premium which is R829p/m and Compact+ being R539p/m will be paying an extra R10p/m bringing you to the total of R839p/m and R549p/m
- DStv Compact which is R409p/m recieved the highest increase amongst packages which is R20p/m bringing you a total of R429p/m.
- DStv Family which is R295p/m recieves the second highest increase (for obvious reasons) to R14p/m bringing you to R309p/m.
- DStv Access which is R115p/m recieves the lowest increase which is R5p/m bringing them to R120p/m.
- DStv Easyview remains the same R29p/m.

The replacements for each DStv package
- eMovies and eMovies Extra will be replaced by KIX on DStv Family and Access.
- A second movie channel is expected to launch before the end of the next financial year of course details of the channel is currently unknown.
Also read:
- Potential replacement channel for eMovies
- eToonz will be replaced by two channels PBS Kids on DStv Easyview and for Compact customers DreamWorks which went live on March 18th.
- As of right now, MultiChoice hasn't confirmed whether or not they'll replace eExtra or add something similar for now all viewers are told is to watch kykNET and Mzansi Wethu.

Basically, all DStv customers will be losing 4 channels (with Easyview being 2 channels) and MultiChoice leaves each package with just 1 channel. Kiddies for Easyview skip the two packages that come after it for Compact going up and movies for only Family and Access customers.

In their statements, they mention offering over 120 channels and if you browse through Compact, Compact+ and Premium they basically have a lot of movie channels if you include the African channels while Access and Family have Cartoon Network and Disney Junior so that's where they could have gotten the idea of replacing some channels.

The biggest losers on this list would have to be Easyview. Consumers on this package who do have kids will have to adjust from the switch for entertaining to education while everything else aside from TNT and Real Time is load of crap or accessible on a platform like Openview.

Insidus Games Is Changing House

Due to an overflow of content on the main website, we realised that some readers won't be able to catch-up on some of the content so we're moving the content to another website.

You read correct, we've given Insidus Games a platform while we continue to promote other stuff while as help build this new site.

You can find it here: click here

We managed to add all the games from Insidus to this site as well as some added bonuses. More games will be added on this site soon.

Website Fully Functional On Facebook + How To Promote Blocked URLs On Facebook? + Reasons You're Blocked From Facebook

As most readers are aware, Facebook (now known as Meta) blocked my website from being viewed on their outlets for some reason but this doesn't shock me the least bit as the company is well known for discrepancies.

As much as I want to dwell on past issues it's best to just keep my mouth shut to avoid any legal issues. My site was blocked for the past 2 years and I had contemplated retirement from Entertainment Inside Us (shortened to Insidus).

Now that my feet are off the ground I can finally get some action done around here.

Matched

For the past 2 years, I had to rely on other methods to get my site on Facebook.

1. Twitter - I usually promoted something on twitter with the banned link and shared the Twitter link to readers.
Cons: not everyone uses Twitter

2. LinkBio - similar to Linktree where you can promote multiple content from different platforms with a single link.
Cons: doesn't direct you to what you're looking for exactly.

3. Copy and paste - through reading several blogs I was able to promote my brand quicker without any hassle from readers. Just take a link pretty much any link from your site put it on the search engine then if Google is fortunate enough to find the link copy the link address for the search result and use bit.ly or anything like it to shorten the link.
Cons: not everyone will direct themselves to your website.

The best option here would be #3 but as mentioned. Google won't always find your article so I used the other two methods.

Why Facebook blocks users or websites?

To not bore anyone further I listed two aspects that came to mind when reading the regulations.

Over sharing posts
When running a website, you don't need to share every single post on your social accounts. Just share a portion and include other links on that page. If readers are interested in your work they might browse other areas.

Matched

Second is the timing, when you share an article make sure to time your releases to give the previous post some exposure.

Lastly is the use of social accounts, if you plan to use Facebook to share your work in groups make sure each post is different from the other. Whenever Facebook detects a lot of traffic within a matter of seconds they can crash and lead to your site getting suspended.

Special thanks to designoutliner for his services at Fiverr. They also do a variety of other web based services.

Kuiertyd Has A Korean Drama Living Amongst Them

Remakes or adaptations are the common in the entertainment industry while some go after properties that date back to 1980s others explore the 7 sevens and in this case we have As Die Skoen Pas (Kiralim Ask).

The 2015 romantic comedy As Die Skoen Pas starring starring Barış Arduç (Voëlvry) and Elçin Sangu (Impak) debuted back in 2020 on the Kuiertyd block on eExtra and 2 years later on e.tv.

Why MultiChoice is scrapping the eMedia channels?
Doodsondes returning for a fourth season on eExtra
Saloni and East Meets West coming soon to SABC 2

Matched

Something that some platforms such as Wikipedia even sites like Insidus failed to mention was that the beloved drama was actually a rip-off to the Korean drama, Can Love Become Money?.

The plot is revolves on a woman trying to get this cold CEO to fall for and marry her. Again this is exactly what happened on the series As Die Skoen Pas instead of Elçin Sangu taking up the female lead you have Uhm Ji Won while Yeon Jung Hoon takes up the male role.

From all the years I've watched television I realised that everyone has different preferences on what's seen on screen. Take for instance, Ugly Betty most people don't realise that the series was derived from the telenovela channel and those that do would still prefer the version from ABC.

Matched

In the end, I don't despise the series for being a rip-off there's plenty of old content that was popular around the 80s that can't be seen on TV and this type of series are used as a gateway to keep the magic alive.
