With her indie video game business on the brink of bankruptcy after a game that received negative reception leaks before a gaming convention, Kate puts Troy (Chris Carpenter), her teenage coding genius son, in charge of creating a video game to save the company which has to be completed in 30 days in time for an upcoming gaming convention. Troy is enthusiastic for the job. But the company's disgruntled coders are not, and in addition Rick, the CEO of a rival company looking to buy out the studio in order to gut it and fire everyone.

An uneventful day at school until the powerful Book of Legends is suddenly stolen from Super Hero High. In order to uncover the mystery, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Bumblebee and the rest of the Super Crew must journey through the depths of the ocean to Atlantis.

Boomerang:

- As mentioned, Cartoonito is launching on the channel or at least the demo pack until the full block surfaces. Through the promo, it has been revealed that the block will have a lot of existing content as opposed to new.

Sometimes the job can be a little bit tricky, and nobody knows this better than the ninjas at Ninja Express!a Still, this bunch always know how to get around little and big delivery mishaps with no mess or fuss!

Reminder: e.tv's African Feed To Cease Transmission On DStv And GOtv

Earlier in the month, it was reported that e.tv's additional channels will cease transmission on DStv and MultiChoice will open up a few existing channels to their customers while as launching DreamWorks.

From April 1st, the only channels present from eMedia Investments would be e.tv and eNCA while eNuus continues offering their news bulletin on kykNET well that's not entirely true or at least for the rest of Africa that is.

 

MultiChoice Africa plans to scrap e.tv (also known to viewers as eAfrica or eGhana) from their DStv and GOtv packages by the end of month leaving only the news portion of eMedia Investments as they sought out other entertainment.

Basically, eMedia Investments theory about their partnership with MultiChoice for e.tv blew up in their faces or at least for the rest of Africa. Of course both parties had an alternative motive but with Netflix you can see where MultiChoice's heart lies.

According to Limpopo TV, MultiChoice has a new business plan and although not much details are available aside from the no community channel policy. The idea of e.tv alongside other e.tv channels forming part of this plan doesn't seem far fetched.

 

 

Since the pandemic, MultiChoice had been chopping several channels such as BBC First, ITV Choice, M-Net City and VUZU in their attempts to streamline and launched several originals like HONEY, Maisha Magic Movies and WildEarth.

These eChannels lacked originality and some of the content which may not be found on DStv is licensed by other networks take for instance eToonz with DreamWorks and eExtra with Timeless Dizi Channel and Zee World.

New Series Alerts: Trolls: The Beat Goes On + The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants + Boss Baby: Back In Business + TWO EXCLUSIVE SHOWS Coming To DreamWorks Africa

During the past week, MultiChoice and NBCUniversal unveiled DreamWorks home to Emmy award-winning original television series including: All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots and Dragons: Race to the Edge.

As mentioned earlier in the month, eToonz will be phased out from MultiChoice's DStv and the channel carried a large portion of DreamWorks upcoming slate or at least reruns as e.tv airs them first.

DreamWorks is basically useless but not entirely as there's Casper Scare School which hasn't been picked up by eToonz (not yet at least) and viewers who either don't have access or hardly watch those channels or do watch the channels and want to see them again.

 

In the press statement, the channel lists 5 series 3 of which already seen on eToonz are Trolls: The Beats Goes On, The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants and Boss Baby: Back In Business while Kung Fu Panda: The Paws Of Destiny and Dragons: Rescue Riders have yet to air on either station.

The series revolves around the adventures of pranksters and comic book artists George Beard and Harold Hutchins, and their strict principal Mr. Krupp, who was hypnotized by George & Harold to become their creation: Captain Underpants, a brief-wearing superhero in a red cape and underpants. Captain Underpants turns back into Krupp after getting hit with water at the end of almost every episode/adventure.

Boss Baby: Back In Business
With the support of his elder brother and partner-in-crime, Boss Baby strives to achieve a work-life balance while keeping his job at Baby Corp and simultaneously attending to his family.

 

Kung Fu Panda: The Paws Of Destiny *EXCLUSIVE
Set after the events of Kung Fu Panda 3, the series follows Po the panda on a fresh adventure featuring four panda kids (Nu Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan Tong) who happen upon a mystical cave beneath the Panda Village. The panda kids accidentally absorb the chi of ancient and powerful Kung Fu warriors known as the Four Constellations: Blue Dragon, Black Tortoise, White Tiger, and Red Phoenix—each of which somehow are with the panda who has a quality opposite to the that Constellation's prime quality.

Dragons: Rescue Riders *EXCLUSIVE
The series follows Dak and Leyla, human twins raised by dragons who have developed, as a result, a unique ability to directly communicate with them, helping and rescuing dragons and the people of the town Huttsgalor.

Tom Welling's Professionals Will Be The Last International Series To Air Weeknights On e.tv At 20:30

e.tv plans to reduce their international offering on weeknights by scrapping shows like Chicago PD, The Resident and Seal Team which were currently seen in the 20:30 timeslot for local dramas like Isono and The Black Door.

The third season of S.W.A.T. is currently airing on e.tv and will come to a close before the changes as mentioned above take into affect so the channel will be adding its last international series to the lineup, Professionals.

Professionals

Tom Welling also known for his work in The CW series Smallville formerly on M-Net and SABC 2 where he played the lead character Clark Kent/Superman.

The series consists of 10 episodes each of them being an 45 minutes long so you can see where the channel was getting at with Professionals as the series will end at the same time the above changes take into affect.

 

eMedia Investments will be replacing Rewind with Xposed which appears to incorporate a mixture of eReality and seems to make up for the reduction in international programming on e.tv as the channel offers dramas and sitcoms.

The Walt Disney Company Closes Their First Free-To-Air Channel In Turkey

The Walt Disney Company plans to close 100 linear channels globally in the near future with markets such as Asia and some parts of Europe seeing their content from brands like National Geographic and Disney Channel fold under Disney+, their streaming service.

According to sources, The Walt Disney Company plans to close Disney Channel in Turkey of course it hasn't been stated whether Disney Junior would tag along as the channel seems intact as most fingers point to the main channel.

 

 

What's more shocking is that these are the first free-to-air channels from the brand to close globally as most readers anticipated that the closures for these type of channels would take much longer with them being free-to-air.

In Canada, Disney XD which is partially owned by Corus Entertainment rebranded to WildBrainTV earlier in the month and it wouldn't shock me if Disney Junior was perhaps folded under Family Jr while the main channel merges with Disney+.

 

 

By the end of this month, FOX Life is expected to close down in the United States joining its global counterparts in the afterlife. Also joining the list of closures is Disney XD, Star Life, Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Kids in Latin America.

From April, The Walt Disney Company EMEA would be the market with the most international channels as its been speculated that the channels would close by 2023 or 2024 as most parts of Europe and Africa still don't have Disney+.
