TLNovelas Africa Makes More Adjustments To Their Lineup + The Indian Uprising On DStv, Openview And Starsat Includes Channel Closures And New Content

TLNovelas makes more schedule changes

From November 8th, TLNovelas stopped airing content in the form of a double bill meaning Crown Of Tears, Rode To Destiny, I Dare You To Leave and Fooled Into Love air once a day with omnibuses taking up the slots A Rose Of Guadalupe once occupied.

Viewers are still awaiting on news regarding A Shelter For Love now they have to deal with the fact that they're missing yet another show from their lineup.

As usual the channel doesn't specify the reasons for the change or whether A Rose Of Guadalupe will return in its weekend timeslot or whether they don't see that timeslot viable for new content.

Now that the schedule looks like that of Telemundo at launch. It wouldn't be surprising if they joined that station alongside Zee World and switched to 7 day viewing.

More beef on Glow...seems likely

Glow TV and Sony Entertainment India formed somewhat a partnership where Sony would lend their content to the SA brand but that might not be the case anymore.

According to sources, Glow TV was set to air a show titled Unconditional Love (Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi) in February 2021 but was postponed only to cancelled indefinitely.

It was speculated that the reason for the sudden removal had something to do with Sony's merge with their rivals Zee TV.

It's evident that Glow TV doesn't want to be another eExtra where they leech content  from third parties who supply linear channels that can be accessible to their audience.

Before Star Life made its way to African shores. A handful of content was available on Glow TV now the channel is caught in a similar rift with M-Net where they have to find other means of keeping viewers entertained.

On top of more local content, M-Net distributes British content thanks to the axing of ITV Choice while soaps from Colors TV is keeping Glow TV's viewership afloat so long as they don't try stirring up competition.

&TV being merged onto Zee TV

&TV which is home to Gangaa, Begusarai and The Heir was supposedly set to launch their own station in Africa but due to some contractual clause with Zee TV that couldn't happen.

According to sources, Zee TV might sacrifice a portion of their schedule to &TV sort of like a programming block and it goes as follows:

4pm - Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai?
5pm - Happu Kai Ultan Paltan
6pm - Aur Bhai, Kya Chal Raha Hai?
6:30pm - Gangaa

The possible implications to Zee and Sony merge

Zee Cinema is rumoured to launch on the DStv Indian package from the 15th of November as a replacement for the Indian Sony Max channel of which neither party have yet to confirm.

They also don't mention if WION will be made available around the period as Zee Cinema seeing that it also belongs to Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
