India Possibly Replacing Korea On eExtra As The Channel Loads Up On Bollywood Series

Last month, MultiChoice decided to to axe eExtra alongside eToonz, eMovies and eMovies Extra. Meaning viewers without an Openview will miss out on the bulk of content coming to the channels and with eExtra's case eVOD.

Also announced last month was the launch of four series: Kindred Hearts and Twist Of Fate from Zee World alongside new seasons of Till The End Of Time and supernatant horror Naagin which again DStv customers will miss out on.

Twist Of Fate is set to come on weekdays at 15:35 from 27 June with Till The End Of Time taking up a 25 minute timeslot at 16:25 with Kindred Hearts at 16:50 and the fifth season of Naagin at 17:40. So where does that leave High Society Scandal?

High Society Scandal is a Korean drama which follows the scandalous lives of the rich and wealthy. In this scenario, you meet a woman known as Hanna that has to deal with her mother-in-law brutality such as the prevention of pregnancy with birth control or keeping her away from her real mother with a kidnapper posing as her mother.

High Society Scandal is currently on every weekday at 14:05 with repeats at 17:35 and 05:00 and on eXposed. Repeats haven't been fortunate with these kinds of programs due to the channel's increased focus to Turkish and Bollywood dramas and this new development raises concerns.

High Society Scandal will end amidst these changes and interesting enough Naagin takes up the space of 17:35 which will now be 17:40 which is 50 minutes close to Elif and not long ago The Heir ripped it away from 23:00.

All the more reasons to believe that eMedia is distancing themselves from Korea or at least for eExtra.

As mentioned, eXposed is a male counterpart of the current eReality channel infused with international dramas has been offering reruns to High Society Scandal so perhaps Korea will be moving to the channel as it has all the themes of eXposed which is drama, power and corruption.
